I like to think about new ways to use spells to fight battles, because, in Morrowind you can have such a freedom that you devise truly astonishing ways to end people. The idea with this one is to get the NPC to get off the ground via levitate, and then fall far enough to die. My question is, would the below spell be viable? Would the NPC target levitate on their own? Would I also have to Levitate in order to draw them up off the ground? I'm pretty sure this would really only be useful against Melee fighters, if it even is useful at all. I haven't been able to find anything about anyone else using these effects together and was wondering what y'all's thoughts are. I haven't tested it yet because, currently, I don't have any characters who have high enough Magicka or Magic Skills to even give this a go. Levitate "Z" points for "Y" Seconds Drain Acrobatics "W" points for "Y" Seconds Any feedback or even other fun spell effect combinations would be well received. |

I don't think Morrowind gives the opportunity to get NPCs to levitate independently. That would be a matter of scripting = modding. You can have your NPCs to follow you, moving from one point to another, by travel mods, but having them to move independently requires them to have it "written in their heads", goes towards The Terminators and such, not included in the game. Very fancy idea, though. It would support the idea of an army of NPCs, acting more or less on their own. Not the worst of ideas? |

So, even if they were in combat with me and I levitated up while they had levitate on, they wouldn't chase me? I figured them doing it on their own was out of the question or else you'd see them use levitate in game, or even have it as a spell in their spell book. I'll have to look for mods that adjust this. |

AFAIK NPCs do not get the idea of levitating at all. They seem not to have any vertical-type thinking expect for aiming projectiles. And I wouldn't comment on that topic if there hadn't been a story behind it... Once upon a time my Breton mage wanted to help some pilgrim with getting to Koal Cave. "Ok, dude, wait a minute". I went to create a levitate on touch spell with intention to travel through the mountains with him. As my mage was quite powerful, he was able to cast like one minute spell or so. So a minute later I land on the other side of the mountain and look around for my pilgrim. Then - bang! Yup, Tarhiel The Second wasn't able to land by himself. He climbed the mountain right after me and went on with skywalking when I was landing. |

Well, that just sounds inconvenient. Although, if the terrain is right, it sounds like it could be useful against an enemy. |

A 1pt Levitate on Target spell is actually very useful and cost-effective (as opposed to using an effect like drain speed or burden). It's one of the best methods for disabling fast melee types like Orc Barbarians. |

I will definitely have too give that a go. It should go nicely with backpedaling and spear thrusts. |
