How does a potion of Cure Paralysis work? I mean, when you need to use it, isn't it already too late?

Technically, yes. But since drinking a potion doesn't require you to move, it is still possible to use them when you're paralyzed. I just wonder why Bethesda added the Cure Paralysis On Self spell to the game, because that one is indeed impossible to use when you're paralyzed.

Would it be wrong to suppose you might be a good enough spellcaster to be able to cast without words or hand gestures? I think I've only read one IG book on the technicalities of spellcasting and I can't too accurately recall it at the moment.

It could be some sort of osmosis type [&@%!] going on with your body. You know, absorbing the potion and whatnot.

@ Belthazor Just as obviously, , I was having some fun with the subject.

Every other avenue is closed off to cure paralysis on self, so why else would Bethesda have left it in?
I mean, how's a player's character gonna open the menu if they're paralysed?
You have to go with the 'simply an oversight' line of thought.

A QA brain fart.

Almost certainly. But I do now have a hankering for experimenting with the effect and seeing if I can do anything remotely useful or interesting with it. I guess I'd rather have more largely useless stuff than less, considering having left it in the game doesn't seem to have had any adverse effect. I shall report back if I discover anything :P
