That one just popped out of nowhere  Reporting is good, but when I'm already online, it's guaranteed that I'll see the spambot thread right away.

Blatant advertisement to say the least.

Then why the cheesy banner? And I have no idea what any of those words in his post mean.

Also, now that I think about it, if his account was hacked by a spambot, it probably would have been posted in the Oblivion forum, since that gets the most traffic.

Yeah.... the pic is there to show an idea of what the rebranded tags look like, I ain't trying to advertise about AMD in anyway but just see what peoples opinions were about the whole ATi brand name being retired since most people recognize ATi vs Nvidia and not AMD vs Nvidia.

Without even posting you can tell guy is a spam-bot. Just look at the web site.

Now if one of the green ones could sort out this little problem then all will be well.

Hey, my very first decision! Link leads to an MP3 downloads site, so it's definitely spam advertising.

Actions: Thread deleted. Username and Email banned, both permanent until other moderators confirm correct actions.

WHOIS trace on IP user registered from indicates a real person. Their real Email address doesn't match the post notification Email address, which is via Yahoo mail and is obviously an alias for post activity collection.

Cheers, guys.

It's not, it's a global announcement meaning it shows up in every-single sub forum.

Sorry. I posted in the Moderator forum not realising this reporting thread is global (visible to all forums)! My post was intended to be private, for mods/admins eyes only.

Original post & Quote edited to remove spammer's personal details.

<hopping> Shot myself in my own foot, guys. Can you forgive me?
