Wow! That is so ridiculously nice. Looks like the frame rate is suffering a little though, haha. Obviously you've downloaded some texture packs as well, right? MGE XE is only a 9MB file... So which texture packs are you using? I really wish my download limit was higher. I'd love to try to get Morrowind looking that nice - my machine is certainly capable of it. Seeing all these awesome screenshots, I almost regret having explored (almost literally) every inch of Morrowind with the default graphics. I think I still want to get Morrowind looking nice, but I think all I'd do is wander around appreciating the scenery with an old, "completed" character. |

Wait, so you're not using texture packs as well? Could you post a link to where you downloaded it from? |

In the second picture - is that sunshafts coming down through the surface of the water? If so, that would be pretty neat. |

Wow. You kids and your MGSO are so spoiled. |

Scozzar, what changes does MGSO make apart from the graphics, and is it possible to turn these other features off? (Will I want to turn these features off?) Getting my hands on MGSO is going to be difficult, but I really do want to check it out so I'm thinking I might be motivated enough to find a way... |

A question. I'm using MGSO v3 and after a while it will only take screenies in a 4:3 ratio and not 16:9. The same thing happened the first time I installed MGSO v3. I don't know if I've done something or it's bugged. I've tried different settings in MGE & MGSO but nothing brings back the 16:9 screenies. Any suggestions? I'd post pics of this but I'm not authorized to post pics from outside uesp. |

Those are some nice pics, Norroen. Despite the outdated graphics technology, Morrowind still manages to be more beautiful than later ES games, in my eyes. Dalos, that sounds very odd indeed. Not sure what's causing that issue, but try posting in the MOD-Morrowind section. That way you're more likely to get responses from people who can help you. |

I spent a few hours trying to get it back to a better resolution and it was a no go. Did a clean reinstall of Morrowind, dlc, MGSO and mods. Works fine now. Once, after a PC restart, the resolution reverted to a lower setting. Reran MGEXEgui as administrator and problem gone. I probably screwed something up before and didn't this time. I'll post some screenies after I have the requisite number of posts. |

Yeah, I challenge anyone to take more beautiful pics in Skyrim or Oblivion. Pretty sure it's not possible. |

Agreed, the worlds just aren't as lovely as Vvardenfell, inherently. |

While I do love Morrowind, I am very fond of Oblivion and Skyrim as well. Each of the three games is wonderful in its own way. Vivec Temple |

“Scathing eyes ask that we be symmetrical, one sided and easily processed. Yet every misshapen spark’s unseen beauty is greater than its would be judgement.” It goes without saying, the main reason Morrowind screenshots seem so much more appealing is due to two factors>_> a feeling of nostalgia and also due to the exotic and almost alien terrain. Thus to why the quote above refers, we adore the unusual and different I will say though>_> nice pic on Vivec temple, but I cannot help but notice the stairs shift in shade.. lighting bug? |

No bugs, no mods. There is a source of light outside the picture frame (could be an Ordinator with a torch, could be a street lamp, I don't remember ). |

Nah, that's just what Morrowind's lighting looks like :p. Norroen, are you processing those images in any way? It doesn't look like you're using any mods, but something about them looks just slightly off to me... In a good way, though . |

Yes, I've noticed that the lit areas have very distinct, abrupt borders. I don't tamper with my screenshots; I just increase their overall brightness a little, because otherwise they'd be too dark for anyone to make anything out. |

Ahh, that must be what it is then. You know I play too much Morrowind when I notice things like that :p. |
