A place to discuss and ask questions about the third part of The Elder Scrolls series and its expansions

Good day to all of you,
I have three questions which I was unsure of for a long time:
1- I am aware that Endurance is the only skill which should be leveled as fast as possible but when it comes to intelligence, I am a bit lost.
Say I create an Altmer with the Atronach Birthsign and Endurance/luck as specializations, will it penalize me for maximum magicka pool if I did not choose Intelligence instead of Endurance
or will the level-up see to it in due time? Also, I would be very curious to know how much magicka is raised for each intelligence points you put in every level.
2- A long time ago, I think I had seen a way to reduce your endurance in a legit fashion so you had very little health. I am asking this question because I would like to make a very fragile and thief-like character that would have as
little health as possible. Does anyone know a way to achieve this without using console command?
3- Is there a way to achieve maximum level (78) without having all your major/minor skills at 30 & 15 respectively?
Thank you for your time!

Hello!
1. Your magicka pool is directly linked to your INT at all times and never your level; if your INT changes, so does the pool. It is always (some factor*INT) where the factor depends on your race and birthsign, some equipment. The effect of END on your health, however, only occurs when you level up, so it is important to have it maxed as early as possible so that each time you level up you get the larger increase. So no there is no late-game penalty for the schedule of INT increasing; once you hit 100 INT your pool is maxed, and whether that's at level 10 or 55 the pool will be the same.
2. Sounds like a damage END spell would do the trick?
3. Go to jail! Seriously, going to jail and serving time makes your skills decrease (chosen at random). Then if they increase again you get to level up more. Not the most efficient option, but I don't think there are other options once it all reaches 100.

Hello Jormungandr,
Thank you so much for clearing things up. Your Damage Endurance spell is an awesome idea but I still have a few questions that remains concerning this.
1- Are you aware of an NPC that sell such a spell, I see no mention of it on the Wiki?
2- If for example, I lower my endurance to '5', will I be able to restore it via potions or shrines?
3- Would it be possible to lower my endurance to '1' permanently or would I die on the spot?
Thank you again!

drain/damage endurance does nothing to health at time it activates but may give smaller heath increase at level up.

Alternatively, you could choose Major/Minor skills that you don't intend to level up. Your character could max out the miscellaneous thief skills and still be a first level character. I tried this myself and I believe you can do 90% of the game at character level one. Good luck!

Good evening,
All of this is most informative and I thank you for your detailed answers. I really hoped for a terribly weak Khajiit that would rely on invisibility & Chameleon spells.
I am making a very fun character that is obsessed with money, trading (Personality, Luck) and artifacts. I wanted a character that would be one shotted by anything at max difficulty
since I know all the 'tricks' and wanted to take minimal risks.
I guess I will have to choose between max endurance as fast as possible like most people do or just ignore it until I have maxed every other stats. I really wanted to focus on the role-play aspect
and level personality, Luck & Intelligence.

Thank you Wolfborn,
I guess I will do that and have great fun doing it! I am very confident I can go through the game with a shirt and a few utilities rings & scrolls but most importantly, a real fortune.
Have a good day.
