I'm excited about the case title "Polybius". Know why? It could either be something about a Greek historian or whatever, or it could be about the urban legend about the haunted arcade machines, which would make me SUPER HAPPY.

Pls give me lovecraftian horror arcades Kerr-san

Majestic-1 takes care of it. But yeah, these secretive US government divisions and their recruitment policies, it's all who you know. Typical.

Anyway, this is all four of you submitted and accepted. Should be fun, I'm happy to have y'all. The tetrarchy begins!

...some time in May.

I just realised that Majestic 12 is named after one of the bots.

Or is the bot named after majestic 12?

I based it all on a Blink-182 song!

But yeah, Majestic-12 has been a pretty longstanding part of conspiracy/UFO mythology. I'm taking things from that, from urban legends/folklore, Lovecraft and weird/disturbing things or places in the real world. Which is why going for an episodic structure is nice. I can touch on a lot of things without needing to tie them all into a single, big, continuous mystery.

Think of it like some episodic tv shows. They'll still have arcs or loosely themed episodes, but some will always have the 'main' plot somewhere behind the background, slowly progressing at its own pace

I would say, use GoTS SAC.. but, you've never watched that(which you should) nor a very big anime watcher(which I am)

Aye. Pretty much what Beta said. Like, there's three ways television series typically work (well four if you count anthologies, but sush, I'm making a point)

Strict episodic - So have a set up with characters, setting and premise but no episodes really connect to one another, can be watched in any order. So like The Simpsons & CSI.
Strict serial - Every episode follows on from the episode previous to make on long single on-going story. So like The Wire & Breaking Bad.
Hybrid - Where there are stand alone episodes with the characters/setting/premise but also the series has an ongoing story arc, some episodes don't tie into it, some tie in minorly, some tie in majorly. So like The X-Files, Supernatural or modern Doctor Who.

We're taking that final approach, so like a very short Supernatural or X-Files season.

Not to nip pick.. well, I am >_> but CSI isnt episodic, the background with the cast still progresses and has its own lil arcs. (I would have said Family Guy honestly)

Note tho, not all episodic shows lack some linear time. It's just not as obvious or apparent. I.e like in show were a character now has carries around a new gun from 12 or one episodes ago, but will never bring attention to it(i.e it could have been there for years or just days or just the next day. Doesnt matter)
--------
So I take it you'll mention to us how long(if relevant to us) it is between cases or timeskips.. bc lets be honest, it's totally just timeskips

Blake reclined in his chair and tapped his fingers together. "Camera guy, called it." he announced. "Not a big on-the-spot talker, y'know?"

In his head, however, he noted just how many people he had seen playing the game since. He had even considering shelling out the dollar to download it himself before, but given recent events he hadn't found the time.

Sabrina

Sabrina sat around the kitchen table with four strangers. Her attire consisted of a short, black leather jacket, white t-shirt, black jeans and black heeled ankle boots. Her hair was loose and she gently pushed the right side of her dark locks over her shoulder, as she read the profiles for the Rosses.

"Are we thinking brainwashing? Subliminal messaging?" The French woman asked Rory.
"How have you linked this with our end goal?"

Olivia Patel

Sitting around the table of some small apartment, outside of Portland, talking about video games had Olivia truly wondering whether she had made the right career choice. She hadn’t been sure what to wear in her first day as a field agent: having worn a more practical outfit for training, it raises questions about what was appropriate now. In the end she had settled on an outfit stolen straight from the X-files: a plain, open necked blouse, which lapped loosely across her chest, a dark coat which stretches to her knees, a pair of black trousers, and dark-skinned loafers. Examining Sabrina’s outfit had her regretting the decision already—she looked like a Spook.

It was an uncertainty she tried to ignore as she listened to the mission brief. It was about video games, which she knew nothing about. She didn’t play video games, because she was an adult. Though, even when she was younger she found the whole occupation weird and dorky. So, she committed herself to googling words she didn’t recognize as soon as the briefing was over. When Blake made his own announcement she nodded: “I can cover the interviewing, lot of practice from my previous role—interviews, depositions, cross-exams, all the same skill-set, really.” She posed a tight-lipped smile at that. Straight in for the big role, she’d make a success of this job yet.

Sophia/Reeds

She got so lost in the debriefing she almost forgot she wasnt alone, nearly jumping as the one guy said ['Camera guy, got it'] a timid thought crept over her, as she sat increasingly rigid in her seat as a cold sweat touched her brow 'Does that mean I might have to do the interview??' But just before or anxious little mind could work over the social worries, and then ['I can cover the interviewing, lot of practice'] she breathed a sigh of relief, and audibly so

After much tribulation herself, she said shyly "I uhh.. am a bit familiar with some of the buzzwords.. if.. if it's necessary" she tried to look up, to guage any of their opinions before quickly dashing her eyes back down upon the first pair of eyes she met "And.. And.. deal with some of the more technical side of things. I..I..Including the actual physical game itself"

She curled her fingers in frustration, as her studdering only made her ashamed more 'Why oh why couldn't i ever make a good first impression! Why?!'
