___________________________________________________
The Setting:

It is January 2015, and the Assassins are fighting a losing battle against Abstergo Industries . After the story of the traitor, Shay Cormac, was released to the Assassins, numerous good men and women deserted the Assassins to join forces with the Templars, disgusted at the actions of Achilles and seeing the Templars as more sympathetic figures. Desperate to regain morale, the Assassins have launched a project to study a certain Alistair Bennett. Raised a Templar, fought as an Assassin. You have been kidnapped by the Assassins, who wish to use the Animus to explore your Assassin ancestor's memories, so as to reveal the true story of Alistair and the long-forgotten history of the Assassins and Templars in the Civil War.

In 1861, 12 days after the Battle of Fort Sumpter, a conclave is being held between two groups of Assassins: the Crows, who wish to bring order to the nation through helping the government, and the Eagles, Assassin purists who will fight on the side of rebellion, regardless of the consequences. Your ancestors have journeyed to the summit with the Crows to seek a compromise.

Mechanics:
Like most roleplays on UESP, this will be a play-by-post RP. Outcomes of actions will be determined by a combination of dice rolls, your character's S.P.E.C.I.A.L., and common sense (e.g. No "Rick Astley lifted the cow over his head and threw it at the Templar, killing him instantly.")

For those who aren't familiar with S.P.E.C.I.A.L, here is a brief explanation. You will get 29 points to spend in any category you wish, with each attribute starting at 1 with a maximum of 10. (can be affected by traits, which will be explained in a moment). Certain traits can push attributes over the limit or under zero. Attempting to use an attribute with a negative value can result in a disastrous outcome.

_________________________________________________
Traits:
Traits can affect certain aspects of your character, including boosting or decreasing attributes or giving new abilities. Feel free to make up your own, just make sure there is at least one drawback. I reserve the right to deny submitted traits. Remember, traits don't necessarily have to beneficial. You can have a maximum of two traits, one, or none at all.

NOTE: You can only have one of the Eagle skills, and I would prefer only a couple people choose one at all, as these abilities are supposed to be rare.

NOTE.2: Only one Martyr or Reaver allowed. You cannot take both traits.

________________________________
Historical Armor:
All assassins are equipped with light, leather armor on top of their robes. Heavier armor is near useless, given the rural environment. The Assassin Crows wear navy blue and red to symbolize their devotion to the nation. The Assassin Eagles wear traditional white and red to symbolize their purity and devotion to the Creed.

Modern Day Armor:
The Assassins have ditched the robes in favor of more modern hooded . Brotherhood spec-ops teams typically wear such clothing with bullet proof vests.

Weapons:
You may carry one large weapon, a small weapon, your hidden blade(s), a pistol, and five of one tool. You may carry an additional small weapon at the cost of (-1 Agility.) You may carry up to four firearms, losing -1 Agility for the second one added. The third and fourth firearms will cost -1 Charisma each, in addition to the aforementioned Agility penalty.

Modern Day Weapons:

Character Creation:
Include two sheets: one for your modern day character, and one for their ancestor.

This looks like a well thought out and planned RP, might have to make a sheet for this

It's not that, I'm just not sure about the past/future kind of thing. I've always had a hard time with it.

If there's a specific problem you have with it, I'll try my best to explain. If it helps, the RP will take place predominantly inside the Animus, but you will come out a couple times like in AC3.

I am interested but i have a few questions.

Can i have my own ship if i give a decent justification?

Is there anything that is off limits?

For the modern day parts, do we know everything about subject 17's ancestors/choose to know everything or is this on a need to know only basis and we only know about our ancestors.

Post subject:  Re: Assassin's Creed: A Brotherhood Divided

1. Sure, but you won't have it with you at the start: both the Crows and the Eagles have taken a single boat apiece to the summit at .

2. Could you specify?

3. You're just random citizens who know nothing about the Assassins or the Templars. You'll be told everything you need to know by the Assassins in the beginning. Theoretically, you could know that your ancestor was part of a "cult", but you wouldn't know the specifics about it.

I'm finding it difficult to pick values for SPECIAL. Seeing as there are 7 categories and you have to distribute 29 points between them -that makes an average of ~4 for each, so if you have anything that the person is good at (say about a 7 or 8 ) then the others have to all be really low.
(Or am I doing it wrong?)

No, you're doing it correctly. It's a balance of power: if you're exceptionally good at one thing, you probably won't be more than fair at another.

TSO is getting there. Like a Glaciar.

Slowly but surely I will break it epically.

Ahhh! Done.. H-hopefully.

I hate doing personalities at the start because they never turn out exactly as I feel they are. I was going to try and fashion up my own trait but I'm way too lazy for that.

Accepted! I was wondering if someone would be greedy enough to take the Reaver trait.

Sorry it took so long, Rook. I was trying to think of stories for their backgrounds, but can't think of ones at the moment -so have 'chosen not to reveal' in the end.

Hope they're ok. Also, I've notice that Shadow has 35 points for SPECIAL. Has it changed or is it still 29?

I made two. I would've liked to have more luck on Lana since she is now a cluts and a weakling to boot but I guess it fits at least.

One problem: Only one Martyr or Reaver can be in either party. Shadow already took the Reaver trait for his historical character, so you'll need to choose something else or make something up. I would recommend grabbing Refined Eagle Vision, as that probably has the most story benefits and we may as well complete the set.

Otherwise, it's a great sheet. It's cool to see such a diverse cast, it fits with the Assassin philosophy.

Post subject:  Re: Assassin's Creed: A Brotherhood Divided

I will get mah character done by sunday, Rook. Just been busy and haven't had ze time to focus on an AC character. Also, is a Man O War too far fetched for me to have? Or can i have just "Aquired" it via some unsavoury means involving a pork pie, a blade and poison?

Post subject:  Re: Assassin's Creed: A Brotherhood Divided

I would recommend something smaller that befits an Assassin, like a schooner or a brigantine. If you gave me a really good reason for you to have a man-of-war, I'd consider it, but the most likely answer is no.
