Post subject:  How the Discussion page works?

Hi everybody, I'd like to understand if there is such a limitation in using the discussion page of an article.

I'm still working quite a bit updating the Tribunal pages on UESP and today I've just checked the discussion page of the Easter Eggs article and gave my opinion on one of the a paragraphs (here:
http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Tribunal_talk:Easter_Eggs ). Another user then deleted it saying the discussion was too old and so my opinion wasn't important. I'd like to understand: is that really a problem? I thought the discussion pages were to discuss, no matter if some answer or opinion come a lot later. Besides, I see the other updates too have some year of difference.

Aren't we allowed to discuss in discussion pages without problems?

Thank you in advance for any answer :sweetroll:

We have a rule against necroposting on old discussions when it doesn't contribute to the article. The reason your comment was removed was because the ashes are already included on the article and have been for years.
