Clarification regarding cardinal directions needed

Mon Mar 07, 2022 2:58 pm

While consulting the pages dedicated to the different regions of the Iliac Bay and specifically Tulune, I noticed that, when listing bordering regions, cardinal directions of said borders didn't reflect the in game compass. Therefore I proceeded to correct them, but then I noticed that numerous region pages have the same problem, actually too many to be a simple mistake.

The only logic I found about that apparent errata is that, whoever did it, had the Tamriel continent map in mind, where cardinals directions differ of almost 90°.

From my point of view, the description would make a better service to readers by reflecting the in game compass, but I wanted to know if anyone thinks differently.

Thanks in advance for you opinion

The compass in Daggerfall is wrong. As such, cardinal directions correlate to the Tamriel map rather than the game map as presented in Daggerfall.

Which page were you having difficulty with, Daggerfall:Tulune or Lore:Tulune? It might be worth making the location more clear if it's the game-specific page, but the lore article should reflect the reality of Tamriel's compass.

I checked now, it's Daggerfall:Tulune. I thought of adding some kind of note to point out the difference between in-game compass and "lore flriendly" compass. Do you think that would be an acceptable solution? And if this is the case, how do you suggest I should write it down?
