How do you do that?

I also wasn't sure where to ask this... So new thread. Hopefully it's warranted and people can use this to ask specific questions about controls, etc.

Anyway, my question.. How do you zoom in and out in third person on console? I know that if you have no weapons at the ready you can freely rotate the camera all the way around, instead of just 180 degrees like before.. But I was noticing in an xbox video yesterday that the dude playing could actually zoom in and out with the camera. Anyone have any ideas?

I haven't been playing Skyrim for that long but I presuming he was using a bow. There is a perk in the marksman tree that allows you to zoom in whilst holding the block button when drawing the bow.

I too have a few questions:

1. is there anyway to randomly generate a character like the option in oblivion? because hand picking every detail is just overwhelming.

2. Does Skyrim have gamepad support?

3. is there an auto run key? i've not found one yet.

As far as #1 goes.. I don't think so. The closest thing is probably the preset options.

Hold down the interact button.. Ie on PS3 the x button.
