A place to discuss and ask questions about the fifth part of The Elder Scrolls series and its expansions

For whatever reason (and I have not tested this out on other T.Vs) when I play on my Standard Definition 80 inch television, I cannot see my health, magicka, or stamina at all. At most, I can see about half of it when I'm on the level up screen, and even then I can't make out the numbers. I could be wrong, but I think I also can't tell how much money I have when bartering, or how much weight I can carry, but I could be wrong on account of, if it is down there, I have no idea.
Of course this is a big problem when I'm in the middle of battle, and I have no idea that I have close to no health and I suddenly die, or when I pick up a potion of minor health, and all of a sudden I can't run.
Basically, my question is if there is some way to adjust the screen height of the game. I tried looking under game settings, video settings, and all of that, but I figured that it's possible that I missed something.
All help will be appreciated, thanks.

Have you tried fiddling with the TV resolution settings with your remote?

I was having the same problem on my sd tv, except I couldn't see the top half. The compass is cut in half and I can't see the small notifications. I couldn't find a setting for it and was forced to play on my hd monitor for my computer (not the biggest downside for now I have an excuse to play in hd
). I think it has a problem for tv's not in widescreen, but I may be wrong.

I have a similar problem. I have the game for Xbox 360 and the TV I play my games in my room is a SD 36" older tube TV. I have looked it the TV's settings and nothing had anything about screen size or ratio. Skyrim doesn't have screen size or ratio settings either. Is this fixable ? (I play the game upstairs on the 46" HD TV in HD, and the screen fits everything perfect so I don't get the problem).

The only thing I can offer is when playing on a CRT TV, make sure the switch module on your XBox's HDMI cable is set to TV, not HDTV.
Surely, somewhere in Skyrim's option menu there must be a page for audio/video settings.

There is an audio/ video settings, but within that menu, there is no screen size/ ratio option.
