Competition Of The Month- October Halloween Edition!

Hi, my fellow UESP users! Apologies from the moderating staff about the lateness of our contest, but it should be a fun one so we hope you enjoy it.




These monthly competitions are a chance for you to demonstrate your creativity and talents while getting a chance to know your fellow members and have a little fun. Each month is going to have a different theme and a different talent – and maybe a surprise or two! But only one member can wear the purple coins and fancy title of CotM Winner! Remember that the winner and second place participant(s) will receive UESPoints. Do you have what it takes?

The basic rules are as follows:


CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN Write a creepy, TES themed poem that has 1-2 stanzas with four lines. A stanza is four lines together. Your poem can rhyme or not; this is your choice. For example:

She lathers her ebony blade
With the honeyed scent of a Deathbell glaze
Her demon horse to Riften she takes
And leaves a corpse in Autumn's haze

*That'd be one stanza. Only one poem per entry is allowed, otherwise it shall be removed. If you'd like to share more than one poem, please save them for the end of the competition and place them here in this thread for everyone to enjoy.

Our schedule for the [MONTH] October event is as follows:
[DATE RANGE]: October 7 - 28: Competition begins! Start planning and send in those submissions!
[DATE RANGE]: October 29-31: Voting period – vote for your favorites!
[DATE]: November 1: Our winner is announced!


Remember that the CotM is not possible without you, so please participate, contribute, discuss, and vote!

As claw met bone, undying thrill,
He watched in horror, his blood did spill,
The taste of flesh, of Hircine's will.

Lunar madness, a crimson rain,
Primal pleasure, inflicting pain,
Sanguine nectar, hands are stained,
I could not help but kill again...

Bloodsoaked sheets, what have I done?
Lost control, such mindless fun,
This time I've nowhere to run,
Tasted flesh of my own son...

Trapped within my mind's embrace,
I know this pain I can't erase,
Lost my boy, but loved the taste,
A silver blade my saving grace...

Thanks to all for the votes and the kind words. I loved everyone's entries--they're all quite different, unique and enjoyable. And it's nice to see the full Ballad up again, Scitzo.
