As you probably know, an early demo version of Daggerfall (designated internally as "TES: Daggerfall v0.1") was released by Bethesda in November 1995. This version allows to play with a pre-generated 16th level male Breton Spellsword character (more details and a download link can be found and ). However, various sources including the old for the game suggested that a different version of the v0.1 demo also existed, which featured a female Spellsword character.
Recently Hallfiry, a video game history enthusiast and collector, has been able to obtain a copy of the Bethesda Product CD Sampler where the female Spellsword version of the Daggerfall demo was included, and has shared its contents. Detailed information about this version of the demo, as well as the download link, can be found , and the CD and CD cover scans are .
The layout of the dungeon in the female Spellsword version is slightly different, there are some monsters not found in the male Spellsword demo (Giant Bat, the early version of the Skeleton Warrior), enchanted items (they have green background in the inventory, like quest items in the final game), bows and arrows (bows are very glitchy at this point), and books.
