Probably a result of the forum update last night. I'll refresh it.

Edit: Done. Any better?

I've been experiencing the issue with signature images. The strangest thing is, the Elderstats image seems to be working just fine. I can see it in my signature on every post, but the moment I attempt to edit or preview my signature I get the error, and thus I am unable to save any changes.

As VirtualWeasel suggested, changing the [img] tags to [rimg] does "fix" the error, but prevents any [url] tags wrapped around it from working.

I see no errors when pasting the block of BBCode into the message body.

I don't know if any of this information is of use, but I hope it's at least a step towards sorting out the issue. :)

I also just noticed that when mousing over the [*] button at the top of the full editor it doesn't display a proper tooltip, but instead { BBCODE_E_HELP }.

I'm getting the "unable to determine the dimensions of the image" error when trying to update my signature to a different Elderstats card image.

I just "lost" a long story I wrote. Is there a way to find out what happened to it? I went to preview it in the full editor, then the screen went to login Huh? I went back to my post and nothing was there. I cannot find it in full editor or anywhere. I put the story behind hide tags. Can it be retrieved. I was putting it in the ES roleplayers thread.

Go to User Control Panel, and on the left, click "Manage drafts". If you saved it, it should be there.

If you don't have the "stay logged in" box checked the forum will automatically log you out when you have been inactive (not moving from page to page) for five minutes. As far as I know there is no way to retrieve a post once lost unless your browser saved it in its cache. When that happens to me I click the Back button immediately and usually everything will still be there so I can copy and paste into notepad before logging in.

Ah, Dang it. So this does not happen again, the stay logged in box is where? UCP? And by autolog out that is what killed my story? %&$$. Or is it putting in between hide tags?

Hide tags wouldn't do that.

The check box is at the login screen.

If it happens again, I find that if you simply go back a page your browser may have retained the post. In order to ensure that it doesn't happen though, it is an idea to load another UESPF page in another tab before you go to post or preview your work. After a few bad experiences I now often copy large posts into word documents before I do anything with them, but that's more for the piece of mind than for any sort of practicality.

Some users don't recieve their registration email if they are using Hotmail. They usually have to use another email address in order to get the email.

If that's true (I haven't heard of any cases personally) it would be something to do with Hotmail. It could be spam settings, the registration email getting put into the junk email folder. People having trouble can email "forums at uesp dot net" and they will be taken care of.

Okay, I'm trying to add a statscard for my Skyrim character from the Elderstats website for my signature and every single time I enter in the code and hit submit I get stuck with this message "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image", along with no way of actually adding a sig pic. So am I just not allowed to have a signature?

It's a known glitch, but we've not figured out a solution yet. A workaround is to change the [img] tag to [rimg], although I think that makes you unable to turn the image into a link.

I haven't been able to connect to the chat at all and I'm sad.

I've been trying to connect via the on-site link, through mibbit directly and some other web client that I don't remember.
