Welcome :)[edit]

Hello! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at this link:

  • Userboxes: near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! --Alphabetface 13:46, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Your Comments[edit]

Hi Theindividual! Look, I just wanted to say that while we appreciate the input, edits like this are less than helpful, and some people could find them offensive. A lot of people put a lot of work into making those pages informative as well as interesting to read, and I don't think it's a stretch at all to assume Njada has been in a few scrapes, given her appearance and skills. If you find some elements of articles that clearly don't belong, we invite you to help out. Otherwise, all you're doing is badmouthing someone else's hard work, and that doesn't do anything to improve the site. Thanks! –Eshetalk 14:29, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

So you think it's less offensive if I start an edit war over a pov issue?

If the manner in which I communicated to her the need for objectivity is offensive then the people reading my comment require better reading comprehension. I concede that I could have done it in a less excited way. Regardless, I was pointing out the pov/fanfiction approach to her work.

Somehow what I said isn't constructive criticism?

You don't add to a pov character bio. You delete or move it. I was pretty blunt telling her that wasn't I?

I could have deleted her work or moved it myself? Well I probably would have still been given a short lecture by an admin. So I am quite happy telling people in a politically correct fashion...that they need to adjust their work to meet POV policy or at least make an attempt to have it not be of any consequence to the readers who frequent the page.

And I have edited my comment to publicly appear less offensive so as to attend to the afflicted and potentially offended. Tell me if you like the change and if it will work for future criticism. --Theindividual 07:23, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Somehow I think you didn't get the point. The comment at the top of your post here is, again, both rude and unhelpful. Contrary to what you seem to believe, content without citation or unverified content does not require ridicule in order to be fixed. I understand that you think some content needs to be changed, removed, or improved--that's fine, and I encourage you to help you. However, insulting the UESP and the people who work hard to contribute content is not the way to get what you want. I think you're grossly mistaken to assume that any edit you make to a page would result in an edit war. In fact, I really think your current approach is more detrimental than a debate over a change to an article anyway.
I really do encourage you to go ahead and dive in yourself rather than sit on the sidelines. If you think you can help out, I think that's great. However, I have to ask you again to please adjust the tone of your comments. You may mean well, but you're coming across as rude and offensive. (And no, changing your comments from all-caps to not doesn't really help.) Thanks for understanding. –Eshetalk 13:40, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
Just to echo what Eshe has said. Your comments on the Saadia talk page, show that you have not got the message. Like Eshe has said. Instead of complaining about the article, do something about it or say nothing at all. --Manic 16:06, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Forums[edit]

Going back through your edits, they aren't really suited to a wiki. You would likely be better served in the forums where such discussion is more actively encouraged. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:07, 14 January 2014 (GMT)

You're also on the brink of edit-warring, so please stop making reversions to that page. Any further attempts to add that discussion will result in an official warning. ThuumofReason (talk) 02:33, 14 January 2014 (GMT)
