Sister Angrond[edit]

Hey Rpeh! I‘m back in action – and with yet another bugged NPC (can’t seem to help myself these days), this time Sister Angriond. While her written schedule looks fine, there are a few problems. First of all, she NEVER leaves Gottlefont House, but stays there at all times. Additionally, when looking at her written schedule, and assuming there is something wrong with her Chapel package, she will kick(!) you out of the house between 10am and noon, and again between 4pm and 6pm. I could easily correct the schedule (it seems to be miscalculating a bit anyway), but we need a bug investigation on that Chapel-thing, so I figured I’d ask before I made any changes. Hope you can find what is wrong with that Chapel package – and why she stays in the house and loses her friendliness. Thanks. --Krusty 15:59, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

From what I can see in the CS, Legoless got the schedule exactly right. The problem with her staying in the house might be caused by you being there. What happens if you wait outside? Does she come out at 10am or 4pm? She's supposed to go to the chapel at 10am so she's probably trying to get you out of a house that she owns (co-owns - it's owned by the faction), even though it's marked as public. Definitely some buggy behaviour, but just needs a couple of questions answering. rpeh •TCE 17:31, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
Haha, tested all that already - problem is, if you wait for her outside, nothing happens (usually, an NPC will leave the location after 10-40 in-game minutes if you wait outside, or in a different cell). The moment you enter the house, she will be ready to kick you out - and only at the times I mentioned. It's almost like the outside area is part of the interior cell or something. Oh, and I didn't mean to imply Lego screwed up the schedule - just that the times doesn't add up if you read it closely. I don't know if it helps, but the other sister has absolutely no problems with the Chapel-package. --Krusty 17:47, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
I dunno then. I can't see why she doesn't behave as she should. Maybe Kivan could help? rpeh •TCE 17:54, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
You rang? ;^) Krusty indicated this issue...
Angrond had a homeowner package running during the day so wouldn't leave if the player was around and would follow them. She was intended to lock up so should have had the 0x6 lock/unlock package. Chapel package was a find rather than travel so as soon as they sat down they'd get back up again and leave as weren't set to Must Complete and also had a useless player distance check. Pew needed to be made a persistent ref. All fixed now and will be in the next UOP. Kivan 20:39, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks Kivan. It's good to have the experts around for this kind of thing. rpeh •TCE 10:49, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

() I drafted a more "normal" bug description and changed her schedule into what actually happens in the game - please take a look at her page and make the standard corrections to the bug note, including proper package-names and then we're done. Thanks in advance - schedule checked after all these years. :) --Krusty 08:02, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Skill Icons[edit]

I know that there has been some naming consensuses going around and I noticed that the skills icons we use aren't named very well...For example the Heavy Armor icon that is used for Oblivion (and Skyrim for the moment) is File:OB-icon-Heavy Armor (title).gif and the one for Morrowind is File:MW-icon-skill-Heavy Armor.jpg. Neither of these tells which game they are from or exactly what they are in a consistent way. The images fro the Oblivion Attributes are the same as the skills, such as at File:OB-icon-Strength (title).gif. Perhaps something that RoBoT could do sometime? Looking at the other moves by RoBoT, perhaps something like Oblivion-skill-heavyarmor or something? I guess you would know more about if this would be a good idea or not. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 19:52, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Right now, RoBoT doesn't have a suitable module for this. It has done mass simple moves before, where there's just one use of an image, because that's easy. I've done a few trickier ones by hand - me logged in as RoBoT - a little naughty but it keeps a lot of trivial edits off most users' Recent Changes page. With this, there are probably too many links to do the move-and-update-quickly thing, so it would have to move while leaving a redirect then update links then mark the redirect for deletion. I'll see what I can do about this, because I agree it's a bit annoying at the moment. rpeh •TCE 20:59, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Question[edit]

You reverted my edit on the Skyrim: Cities. How exactly should I edit the page? because your summary stated that how I did it is incorrect. Fin Dova Feyn 10:03, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

You need to create the actual city pages and add the description there. As the summary said, see the other city articles. Like Skyrim:Markarth Side. rpeh •TCE 10:08, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Oh okay, Thank you. Fin Dova Feyn 11:35, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Latest Dagoth Ur edit[edit]

I was wondering if you could explain exactly what the problem was with using a Lore Link in that situation, so I comply in the future. From your summary, I'm guessing that using a Lore Link in that way will just lead people accessing the page other namespaces in a loop? Minor Edits 17:22, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

The problem is that when it was transcluded to the Morrowind article, it ended up pointing to a disambig page, which is never good. The problems caused by there being two Dagoth Ur pages (the same for Almalexia) have been a pain in the backside for some time now... rpeh •TCE 17:50, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Gotcha, I'll keep a closer eye out for that in the future. Minor Edits 17:54, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Two Cast/Charge=Uses Values, if they exist.[edit]

Well I started a SI Quest Items Page, and I can't seem to find the c/c=u values for the following items: 'Dagger of Depletion(00012D17)' and 'Fork of Horripilation (0007877F)'. I don't know if the Fork will have a c/c=u value because the effect is on self? --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 20:19, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I looked in the CS. The Fork is not enchanted, but rather scripted. So it has 0 for enchantment. There seems to be 2 Daggers of Depletion, both labeled SE32... but the one you requested has an enchantment of 800 and the magical effect has an auto calculated cost of 29. I assume that's how enchanted items work? So 800/29 gives 27.6, and I'm not sure if it should be rounded up or down... By the way, the dagger used by the ghost is different. It has 10/5 with a scripted effect and damage magicka, if you needed that. I don't think the player can get that version, but it is also a quest item. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 22:24, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks :) i'm unsure which one i needed, i'll check. I wasn't sure if it was an enchantment or a script. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 17:03, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Vampirism (effect) Page[edit]

Not sure if you saw the creation of Oblivion:Vampirism (effect). Just wanted to bring it to your attention if not. It isn't a very full page, and is orphaned (except for the link I just used of course), and I think most of the information is on the Oblivion:Vampirism page. I didn't want to tag for deletion though because I'm not sure if anyone thinks its a good idea to have, albeit in a more expanded form. Personally I think that it would be alright to have, to better outline the effect itself as used in the CS, as it is not spelled out very clearly in my opinion. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 02:37, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

I've marked it for deletion. There's absolutely no point in all these pages being created. Test cells are covered on the Test cells page, and Vampirism is covered on the Vampirism page. I'm getting a bit fed up with all this crap being added, TBH. rpeh •TCE 07:14, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

A type of question soon to be gone![edit]

Hey rpeh! Just a bit of good old NPC fun before hell breaks loose! I’m revamping the Kud-Ei page here and it’s getting rather big. I was wondering if you could snap a few simple images for me?

  • an image of Ardaline trying to avoid Varon Vamori, her “admirer”, in the guildhall – maybe this can be used as a quest image as well? He should seek her out everyday at 8am.
  • an image of Kud-Ei watching over the sleeping Henantier.

As always, no rush with the images – more importantly, I have a few dialogue lines I simply can’t trigger in the game.

  • Henantier isn't a prisoner in any physical sense. He's a prisoner of his own mind. He's trapped in his Dreamworld.
  • You must learn to broaden your thoughts and hold your tongue! Allow me to explain before jumping to conclusions! Henantier isn't a prisoner in any physical sense. He's a prisoner of his own mind. He's trapped in his Dreamworld.

I doubt they even exist, but if you could point me in the right direction (or just dismiss them), I’d be most greatful! Thanks in advance! --Krusty 07:45, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I'll see about doing the images later.
Those lines are both related to topics that never appear. The first one is a response to you saying "Please explain. How is he a prisoner?" and the second to you saying ""More lies? You said he was trapped!" but these never get added as an option so the lines never appear.
If I were to guess, I think the original quest lead in was slightly different. These days, you're asked to help find Henantier, but it seems like you were originally asked to free him from a trap. rpeh •TCE 08:10, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! The eternal problem with the quest-related NPCs is that they were all obviously designed as part of a "whole", e.g. citizens of Bravil, then the quests were added later on, leaving a whole lot of mysteries for us to discover. I'll add the two dialogue lines as a note. Looking forward to the images. I'm back on a train, so absolutely no rush! :D --Krusty 08:20, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
How about this and this? rpeh •TCE 08:42, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
Brilliant! Page relaunched and looks great - I'll take a look at the Recommendation dialogue on my way back, just to prevent the CS checker from a mental breakdown. Thanks for quick help! :) --Krusty 08:57, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Vitharn map[edit]

Hey rpeh! Don’t know if you noticed the discussion but I wanted to ask if you think the map (and also the contents lists of the problematic section) needs cleanup? I don’t really know what goes on in that zone, but it is completely empty the first time you visit – so it’s a bit hard to write a decent walkthrough atm. Thanks. --Krusty 23:07, 6 October 2011 (UTC)

Update: just ran through the zone and, mysteriously, it is possible to find ghosts in there. Only problem is that they are invisible (or dead maybe). I could find only three, but maybe this observation is useful? --Krusty 00:12, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure what the problem is. The map looks accurate to me - there should be nine ghosts there, and if you're finding some you should find all of them because they're all controlled together. rpeh •TCE 07:05, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
Oops, a bit unclear. When you enter the zone for the first time (where the quest will always be initiated), it is completely empty, with not a single enemy to be found anywhere. Problem is, when I search through the water a bit, my cursor tells me that I find a “Vitharn Ghost Soldier”, but there is no body, no nothing – and no options to search the body, as always with ghosts. I just ran through the cave again, and, in front of the sealed door at Out, found an indication of a Ghost Fanatic, and next to that ‘indication’ a Lesser Madness Shield. Something is completely wrong here – but I have no idea what is going on. SerC and I talked about the possibility of the horde of attacking soldiers being spawned in this zone, then entering Vitharn Bailey for the repeated attacks, but it doesn’t explain the presence of not-to-be-seen ghosts in the Reservoir. --Krusty 07:22, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
Well I just tried it and get the same as you. I've got no idea what's going on. Maybe Kivan can help. rpeh •TCE 08:04, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
My vague memory of what I saw when I did this quest basically matches what's described on the quest page (FWIW, I did the quest before the maps were generated). I remember exploring the Reservoir section when I was entering Vitharn and being somewhat puzzled by the lack of enemies. But then when I had to go back through the Reservoir near the end of the quest, some enemies had appeared. Specifically I remember at the end of the quest thinking, "OK, now this all makes more sense". Obviously, that was a few years ago, but it seems consistent with everything being said here. I'd suggest that perhaps someone redo the entire quest, and see what happens then -- at the very least, that seems more enjoyable than trying to decipher the scripts. --NepheleTalk 06:16, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Pointless Welcomes[edit]

Well, I thought that if they registered themselves it means that they want to contribute somehow to the project, otherwise they would stay as an I.P. number. --Arkhon 15:12, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Some people register for no apparent reason and will never use their account. Some vandalize under that log in. These two types of user do not need to be welcomed. So, say, after 2 or 3 constructive edits (e.g. not talk pages) they should be welcomed. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 15:17, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
Understood. --Arkhon 15:25, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
If you look at Special:Log/newusers, you'll see that most people who register never make a single contribution. Welcoming them seems a bit over the top. Furthermore, as Kiz said, several users vandalize from their account or are just plain spam bots, such as User:Mahrufa6, which you welcomed. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 15:27, 9 October 2011 (UTC)‎
I understand, you don't have to post comment after comment explaining exactly the same thing... I understand that from now on I shouldn't welcome people who did not contribute to the project at all. I must learn the rules of UESP, it seems that they are different than on regular Wikipedia. If there's some sort of punishment for what I did, feel free to impose it. --Arkhon 15:34, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
You've already received an unofficial warning, as long as you don't do it again there is no need for further action. To be honest, this was never an official rule I believe anyway (Me and Elliot discussed this a while back, he pointed out that there was no official rule (He tried to make it a rule a while back)), it's just quite annoying as it can easily flood Recent Changes. As a side note, it might be worthwhile to make this official policy. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 15:39, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
I will not do it again so no worries. --Arkhon 15:45, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
It wasn't even an unofficial warning, just a comment. It didn't cause any harm except to fill up the Recent Changes page a bit and make me swear while I was patrolling the edits. rpeh •TCE 17:03, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Renaming[edit]

I was told to direct this request to an administrator. May you change my name to Eric Snowmane please? Thank you kindly for your time. Sn0L3prd 03:43, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

All done. If you have any links (that I missed) to pages named Sn0L3prd on your subpages, please change them into Eric Snowmane within the week, otherwise they will turn into red links. --Krusty 06:23, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for taking care of that. rpeh •TCE 06:55, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Help?[edit]

I was just wondering if you could help me get started on the wiki. I know how to edit, I would just like to know where help is needed. Thanks, Paul118 13:24, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

There's always a lot of stuff to do, but a lot of it is pretty tricky these days. There's always a list of things to do at the Task List, then there are loads of pages that need various types of maintenance here - the Questions Needing Answers might be worth a look. Lastly, there's our Oblivion NPC Redesign Project, if you fancy doing some serious work on our NPC pages.
Hopefully there'll be something there to take your fancy! rpeh •TCE 13:30, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

Couple Things[edit]

First, Template:Sic. I was going through to see if any of those needed some changes, but I noticed something on this page: Lore:For My Gods and Emperor. The sic tag is used to point out an accidental repeated sentence, but the tag still gives the usual, misspelling. I'm not sure a way to modify it, but a couple thoughts I had were to change "word" to "phrase" or something. Sometimes it is not a single word. Also, maybe another option to change "misspelling" to another error. You can pass this along to someone else if you want, I wasn't sure who to say this to.

Second, Oblivion:Carandial Campsite. There is a link to the Oblivion Map, but it isn't actually on there. Maybe because of the missing map marker or something? See the talk page. I also mentioned that to Kivan. Or will. I'm multitasking between talk pages a bit. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 03:59, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

I've added another param to the sic template. It's a bit hacky but works well enough on the FMGaE page. If that's not flexible enough I'll have another look.
Looks like Nephele took care of the map link for the campsite. rpeh •TCE 08:55, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Re: Chedinhal Recommendation edit[edit]

Thanks. Me had brain fart as I started to edit that thing. For the life of me I couldn't remember what the grab function was called! Sniffles 09:32, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

The Painted World[edit]

I recently started (just) this page as an attempt to document it better than have it scramble over the quest page (Krusty pointed me to do it :)) I would like to know the progress of the Painted World interactive map? Otherwise i would include this map if the interactive map is not an option to link to. And, just a point. Is it an alternate world? A seperate plane? I've put it down as 'Created World' for want of a better description? --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 20:21, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

It would probably come under "Realm of Oblivion". "Created World" isn't an appropriate place type. Check out Oblivion:Random Oblivion World 1 for how the page should look (roughly). Being such a small worldspace, there won't be much to document. Also, make sure you copy the info straight from the CS, as typing freehand can lead to all sorts of mistakes. --Legoless 20:31, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
What would need typing from CS? I have no access to it? I rely on others :/ and is it a realm of Oblivion? It just seems Daedra and Aedra are different? --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 20:53, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
Specifics don't really matter in gamespace. It's not actually a realm at all; it's just the inside of a magic painting. But for simplicities sake, it would be better to throw it in with the other worldspaces. Not to be a downer, but I'd recommend collaborating with someone with CS access when creating a place page. In-game experience is good for checking, but the CS provides info on leveled lists, location codes, etc. You might want to bring it up on the Community Portal. (Sorry for hijacking your talkpage, rpeh.) --Legoless 21:14, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
I kind of ask people usually Rpeh or another CS checker for details. I just write the articles, i check in-game were possible and then request the facts that are missing from the site. A lot can be found by reading related quest and item pages :)--Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 21:17, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
The interactive map is on hold for now - I don't want to risk messing anything up for Skyrim. You can see how it'll look here. Calling it a "Realm of Oblivion" is probably best too, even though it's not quite accurate. As for the CS, there ain't much to say. Apart from the trolls, the exit and the two NPCs, there's nothing else there. rpeh •TCE 07:30, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

A few Melisande questions[edit]

Hey Rob! After a lot of hard work I just realized that the Bloodgrass bug prevents me from creating a 100% correct Melisande page. I’ve decided to launch the page anyway and leave a message on the talk, but until then, I was hoping you could shed some light on the current schedule, as it is a bit fuzzy and hard for me to check in-game; How long will Melisande work in the basement on the potion creation during the quest? Also, will she travel or teleport back and forth to Skingrad? Lastly, the dialogue line "Hindaril is destroyed? You are indeed a force to be reckoned with. I shall take the ashes; finally, some part of him can be put to a good use." seems to be absent from the game. I have checked with and without killing Hindaril before stage 42, but I get the same line regardless of what I do. Any strange conditions? Thanks in advance! --Krusty 22:10, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

As far as I can see, she stays in the basement until the day changes. Once she says "Give me twenty-four hours. I shall have the potion ready for you then." the game stores the current date. She will always head to the basement, but once there she only stays as long as the stored value is the same as the current day. In other words, if you talk to her at 23:59 she'll head to the basement then head straight back out again.
As soon as you leave Drakelowe after picking up the cure, Melisande is teleported to the Chamber of the Lost. Once you leave the chamber after completing the quest, she's teleported back to her farm.
The dialogue's an odd one. I can't see why it wouldn't be used. The exact conditions are that you're talking to Melisande (duh!) That you have "> 0" Ashes of Hindaril in your inventory, that the quest is >= stage 50 and that a variable called "ashvar" is 1. That variable is initialised to 1 when M tells you about Hindaril, as long as you didn't already have the ashes, and is set to 2 when you hand them to her or if you already had them. I don't have a save anywhere that I can test this, but it should work as described. rpeh •TCE 07:45, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Just checked again and the well-well dialogue is definitely used when you kill Hindaril after she tells you his location. I have a feeling about her telling you about Hinduril resets the variables somehow (you can't deliver the ashes without asking her first) I'lll add it as a note for now and see if I can summon Kivan later on. Thanks for looking into it. --Krusty 09:48, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Crap, all my saves (from when I had the non-GotY) edition are from before handing over the ingredients – or after arriving at Castle Skingrad, which means I’ll have to buy the game again to check out the schedule. :D That’s not going to happen, so I’ll leave that to someone else. One last favor, though; in the sandbox, could you take a quick peek at the section right underneath the table (the potion brewery/finished dialogue) – from a CS-pov, just to see if you can point out any obvious mistakes? I wrote all of this from the dialogue sheet, so there may be one or two errors in the descriptions – and I think it is better (and probably easier) to catch them now. I have checked everything but that section in-game, so that’s all what’s left. Hope you have the time! --Krusty 10:08, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Done. It probably counts as a bug that she doesn't wait 24 hours, but it's hardly worth mentioning. rpeh •TCE 10:16, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! I agree - no need to mention such a minor bug, especially with her related quest in mind. :) --Krusty 10:24, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

Gaedrion[edit]

Is there anything you can do about this? He's been making a lot of edits to his User page recently, just adding links or minor formatting changes. And not using Show Preview, i've asked twice now if he could use Show Preview. I am unsure as to what I could do next, if anything? --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 19:24, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

A New Bot?[edit]

In IRC tonight me and Atreus were discussing bots. We started off on Peregrine and eventually started talking about making a UESP version of this bot - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:SineBot . I am looking to create something helpful and achievable (realistically by me and Atreus, although not in a short time period). I'm going down the line of an auto-sign-bot and Atreus doesn't know what type of bot would be useful. Me and Atreus both voiced interest in doing a project. I have a few further questions though -

  • Is it possible, bandwidth wise, for UESP to run this?
  • What sort of safeguards would you (currently) recommend for this type of automated bot?

And finally, Atreus knows Python (coding language) is this compatible with the wiki. I don't know anything about coding (in this sense) at this point. But have recently downloaded Python and will start playing with it if the site would benefit from it. All thoughts, hints and 'points in the right direction' are appreciated. Thanks --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 20:45, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

This has come up before, and it's always caused a few concerns. NepheleBot and RoBoT work remotely, and only access the pages they need in order to perform their tasks. A UESP copy of SineBot would need to keep loading the Recent Changes list to see if it needed to do anything, which makes it a slightly different beast.
See this topic from earlier in the year where I asked Daveh about setting up a bot server to handle this and other constant-access issues like link checking. As far as I know, the server doesn't support Python at the moment, but it should be less of a problem than supporting .NET.
In any case, I don't think it's anything that's going to happen in the next few months - for obvious reasons! rpeh •TCE 06:36, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
I would say more a year or so, whilst SR's new this won't be in full force on the building side of things if me and Atreus go ahead. And is .NET easy to write in? Well learn anyway, anything can only be so easy to write in. And, i'll definitely just be planning and making a basic level of code (if, and where possible) for it until after SR and Daveh has been asked about the Bot server again. And on the technical side, how does the RC know when the wiki has had a change? Is there any way of sending that signal to the bot so its knows to refresh the RC? Thanks for the pointers, i had no idea this had already come up before. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 07:40, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
There's no way of getting the wiki to send a message. Rather, the bot would have to keep loading the RC page, either using Special:RecentChanges itself, or using the API (something like this query). Internally, those pages both query the underlying database and just return the latest entries.
Writing some code to auto-sign isn't that tricky. You can restrict the bot query to look only at talk namespaces, then add in some extra mechanism for pages like AN and CP, then it just needs to check that there's a link to userspace at the end of the post and add one if not using the unsigned template. There are a few extra tweaks like the ones already supported by SineBot, but it's not a huge problem. The only problem is bandwidth. rpeh •TCE 07:53, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I just didn't know how the RC worked internally. And if it's internals could be used to save the bot loading it, it seems not. I'll look into coding a bit more. And i'll keep that query saved incase i can be used. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 08:00, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
That query would be a starting point rather than a finished work. See the help page for more detail. You'd need to start by getting a list of namespaces, filtering out the non-talk ones so you can pass it through in the rcnamespace param, and have another query for "special" pages like AN, CP, etc using rcnamespace and rctitles. Then keep passing rcstart and rcend params to keep the lists to a minimum. It's not difficult, but it's not trivial either. rpeh •TCE 08:22, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
I was thinking of adding a category, to pages such as the RC and AN ( a hidden one if possible) rather than adding those specific pages. And also incorporating (at a later stage) a system where both users and specific talk pages can be opted out if desired by a user. I'll start listing different possibilities for how it can be got to work practically, Atreus seems to be very reluctant on starting so I could be on my own at this rate --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 08:30, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Edit: I've sorted a query out, i'd like to know if i could have a list of all the numbers of all the talk pages please?

I've managed to get that far, by guessing the namespace numbers --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 09:00, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
You can get a list of namespaces from this query, but there's a shortcut: anything ending in an positive odd number is a talk space. rpeh •TCE 09:34, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
I've updated my list, next task figure out how to get the bot to read it. This could be a longer part, thanks for all the help. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 09:39, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Bugs... everywhere![edit]

Hey Rob! This is a small bug (at least I hope so), so I figured I’d bother you. I have written the entire hellish Ushnar-page, but, as with anything I touch, he is bugged. Problem is, he will not sleep between 10pm and 6am like he is supposed to, but wanders around on the ground floor all night long. I suspect a bug similar to Cutter where no bed is present in the zone, but I just wanted to ask you for a confirmation. Thanks in advance. --Krusty 07:09, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Yup, looks like the same bug. The sleep package is "Near Editor Location" rather than "In Ushnar's House Upstairs". rpeh •TCE 07:16, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Gotcha. Better safe than sorry! Thanks. --Krusty 07:30, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Annoying request![edit]

Hey rpeh! Sorry about this ridiculous request, but I just spent an hour trying to get Corvus and Millona out onto that Balcony (5pm, Loredas and Sundas), and it’s just not possible. While I have seen Millona out there alone several times, getting both of them out there is either impossible – or demands the best weather in the game, which basically depends on luck when you’re on the PS3. Can you do me a favor the next time you pass through Anvil? Use the console to get the weather conditions right and check if they will ever go out there? If not, we have some kind of hard-to-find bug worth mentioning. Thanks in advance – and definitely no rush!!! --Krusty 14:20, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

No problem. Went straight out with a fw 38eee weather code. It was really, truly awful watching the pair talking to each other as if they'd never seen each other before before watching Corvus trying to walk through a wall and then stand staring at it. I seriously hope the AI has been improved in Skyrim! rpeh •TCE 14:44, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
Haha, thanks for the checking - and that idyllic image looks good on his page! I'll now attempt to forget that balcony forever. --Krusty 17:02, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Map Link[edit]

A small issue with the interactive map. Deepscorn Hollow links to the disam page instead of OB:Deepscorn Hollow (place). So...yep. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 02:15, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Fixed. --NepheleTalk 02:23, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for taking care of that. rpeh •TCE 08:10, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Bit more Vitharn[edit]

Hey Rpeh! As I was going through the nightmare that is Vitharn, I took a look in the Mausoleum and discovered something odd. While it contains regular coffins for a lot of interesting ancestors, the two “open” ones are for Countess Mawean, Mother of Vitharn, and for Count Vitraen. From reading Fall of Vitharn, it appears as the current articles for them (Count Cirion and Countess Cirion) are correct family-wise, but maybe their real names should be mentioned on the articles? I’m asking because I might be missing something here. Thanks. --Krusty 22:59, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Sorry mate... I really don't know what you're talking about here. rpeh •TCE 00:16, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
Gah, that was quite unclear. Well, the articles for Count Cirion and Countesss Cirion seems to be a bit incomplete, as the game gives the the above mentioned names when you activate their coffins. --Krusty 03:52, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
Ah, gotcha. Yes I see what you mean. Vitharn is obviously a family name, so their full names are Count Vitraen Vitharn and Countess Mawean Vitharn. rpeh •TCE 08:49, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
