Welcome[edit]

Hello Lord Eydvar! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors. Enjoy! --- Game LordTalk|Contribs 13:42, 3 November 2008 (EST)

Easter Eggs page[edit]

Please don't add things to the Easter Eggs page without the consent of the community, especially things that have been repeatedly shot down. There are notices saying as much at the top of both the article and the discussion page, so I'm a bit surprised that you went ahead and did it anyway. ThuumofReason 22:59, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh sorry I read through the notices and talk page, I guess I missed that part. How do you propose an addition to the easter eggs? I've never dealt with that page before. Lord Eydvar 23:03, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Add a new section on the talk page. But first check through the archives to make sure it hasn't been discussed in the past. ThuumofReason 23:07, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Ok thanks for pointing this out, I've been on here a long time but never had a reason to deal with editing the Easter Eggs sections. I went back and read it again and somehow had read right over that sentence last time. Might I suggest putting that line in Bold? Lord Eydvar 23:12, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Categories[edit]

This edit was a little unnecessary. The category is added by {{Place Summary}}, so the redundancy is not needed on the page. elliot (talk) 03:39, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Yeah I posted a thing on your page about that. Apparently it wasn't showing right on my end and so I had undid it thinking it wasn't correct. Lord EydvarTalk 03:41, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Thanks![edit]

Thanks for the link to the cap explanation. Now all I have to do is go to the CK and track down the formula to verify that the explanation is correct. All that said, you would think Bethesda would have the smarts to use an equation that was asymptotic to a limit, for example:

   Damage_reduction_% = ( 1.00 - 1 / ( 2^(x/250) ) ) * 0.82 + 0.03 where x is the armor rating shown.

This would mean you could continue to improve armor rating but the relative gains would decrease in size as they approached the limit. (Think - accelerating a mass to the speed of light!) LOL  :-) Kalevala (talk) 22:27, 5 September 2012 (EDT)

Yeah that's how Morrowind worked I think... though I don't think Morrowind had a cap at all... Since I had a char with an armor stat well over 1500 and took pretty my zero damage at all. Lord Eydvar Talk | Contribs 03:31, 6 September 2012 (EDT)

Missing In Action Images[edit]

If you don't want me to take the images, have the decency to tell me so rather than posting requests after I've already told you I'm on it ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 13:04, 18 October 2012 (GMT)

I want images from you, I just had a couple others I needed that I hadn't thought of when I talked to you so I posted those requests. Lord Eydvar Talk | Contribs 13:09, 18 October 2012 (GMT)
Then why don't you post them on my talk page instead. Posting them on the image requested page implies you're still looking for anyone to take them. You may not realize it, but by doing so you give the impression you ignore my assistance entirely ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 13:19, 18 October 2012 (GMT)
Okies I can do that, I didn't want to overload you with requests... not sure how easy it is to take em. Lord Eydvar Talk | Contribs 14:26, 18 October 2012 (GMT)
I was just in the middle of doing the quest, so your request couldn't come at a better time. I've already uploaded some images, though Thorald being chained is supposed to go on his own page, while I've uploaded a more fitting quest image. Let me know what you think ~ 14:32, 18 October 2012 (GMT)

Oblivion talk:Jalbert[edit]

Hi Eydvar! I agree that this edit doesn't at all represent the kind of posts we want on our talk pages, but in the future, if you're going to revert a new user's edit and accuse him or her of trying to provoke an argument, it might not hurt to make a post on the user's talk page explaining why you did it. Like I said, I agree that the post was pretty pointless, but explaining why might help prevent it from happening again ;). Thanks! eshetalk 14:30, 30 November 2012 (GMT)

K thanks for letting me know, I hadn't thought of that, the username seemed to be a nonsense bot on top of the post being rather pointless and appearing to be intending to cause certain members to take offense at it. Hence my undoing it. But yeah in the future i can remember to leave messages on their talk pages. Lord Eydvar Talk|Contribs 14:43, 30 November 2012 (GMT)
Yeah, it's kind of hard to tell what people are up to sometimes. Anyway, thanks again! :) eshetalk 14:46, 30 November 2012 (GMT)

Block Skills Page[edit]

Hiya Eyd. I did some revising on Skyrim:Block. I just then noticed your cleanup tag. Better enough? I don't know enough to do a lot more, but the skill usage section also caught my eye as needing help. --JR (talk) 15:01, 24 December 2012 (GMT)

I went ahead and removed the clean up tag. If it needs more work in your opinion, feel free to add it back. --Xyzzy Talk 17:09, 24 December 2012 (GMT)
Thanks. I'm not even going to look. My only hope was to elevate it in at least some way. And I can usually do that (but, oh, when I fail ... it's always the big stuff). Oh, I'm not logged in: User:JR --

New Here[edit]

Hi, New to this as of today.

I was using the wiki page for the quest Missing in Action - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Missing_In_Action#Detailed_Walkthrough

I noticed a section that has missing information. "Prisoner of War" section of that page states " If you travel to Castle Dour in Solitude and talk to General Tullius about it he'll deny your request, saying "The Thalmor? Do you have any idea what you're asking? I'm sorry, that's just not possible. It would cause far too many problems." Once the diplomatic approach fails,"

When I was following this part of it for the quest, I had gotten to General Tullius and he had in fact did the opposite and had given me a letter to pardon him. I was able to go to the place and get the prisoner with no problems, the elves escorted me to him and let us walk away. It wasnt very profitable, but it was infact another option. — Unsigned comment by NonX (talkcontribs) at 23:27 on 22 February 2013‎

Userpatroller[edit]

Hi Lord Eydvar! You meet all the requirements to be a userpatroller, so I've just changed your user groups for you. Welcome aboard! eshetalk 15:30, 25 February 2013 (GMT)

Congrats! Robin Hood  (talk) 18:42, 25 February 2013 (GMT)
Congrats on userpatroller. As an aside I removed your nomination for patroller. As you said on the IRC, you barely know what is required of a patroller, and I think you should leave it more than a day before nominating for Patroller. I hope this is ok with you.
