Welcome![edit]

Hiya Kellynne! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's great when we get new members. Just thought I'd send you a welcome with some helpful info. Check out the following links:

If you would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at the Userboxes page: a near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to making your own.

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~ (do not sign edits to articles). Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun!

Page Creation[edit]

Hello Kellynne, thank you for your interest in the UESP. Per your recent creation of a page to ask a question on Aela the Huntress, I have deleted the page and moved your post to Skyrim talk:Aela the Huntress#Allies Attack Her. Generally speaking, we do not create new pages just to ask a question, we have talk pages and discussion pages (like UESPWiki:Community Portal or UESPWiki:Administrator Noticeboard) for that instead. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 15:04, 13 February 2014 (GMT)

Timestamp[edit]

While it is not against the rules of this wiki to sign on the talk pages without a timestamp, it is helpful to other users to keep track of the discussions. It also helps other contributors over time to see if a discussions is still freshly going on or if it has died out. It is only needed one more hit at your keyboard when typing. A signature without timestamp is three tildes (~~~) while a signature with timestamp is four (~~~~). I hope this can be helpful to you. —MortenOSlash (talk) 04:37, 19 May 2014 (GMT)

I got your answer back at my talk page. In fact, you did not need to go to my talk page to answer, as you could as well have done it here. As I contributed to your talk page, I am expected to follow it for some time to look for any answer of yours — or additional contributions from anyone else having anything to add. It is easier for others to follow our exchange too.
Now, another thing you can observe if you look back on your contribution to my talk page, you will observe that your contribution has appeared in a box and with another font. As you can see from the discussions a bit higher up on my talk page, I have encountered that issue earlier. It seems to be an feature of the editing occurring if you add a space before your first letter, like this:
Example.
Indenting is done by adding colons (:) before the paragraphs, and is usually used on talk pages to indicate new contributions in a section. One more colon for each contribution.
Small mistakes like this is really not difficult to amend, so do not worry. You would, however, quite possibly have observed that yourself by using the "Show preview" button, right next to the "Save page" button.
We are all learning every day. I am no good at the wiki codes and the formatting, but I can not let it stop me from contributing, as there will eventually come along someone who can fix the cosmetical oddities we leave behind. —MortenOSlash (talk) 04:47, 21 May 2014 (GMT)

Posting in Old Discussions[edit]

Hey, Kellynne! I noticed that you've been posting in a lot of old discussions recently. I just wanted to let you know that we don't typically post in discussions that have gone without a reply for more than 3 months, as it's rarely constructive to continue talking about something that everyone else has forgotten about. We call this "necroposting", and we typically don't do it unless the post provides valuable new information on a particularly important issue that hasn't been resolved. If you would like to bring an old subject up for debate again, you can always create a new discussion. Thanks! Zul se onikaanLaan tinvaak 12:56, 18 July 2014 (GMT)

Froki's bow[edit]

Hiya, the note you removed about not him not mentioning that you have recovered his bow until you have completed the quest, you marked our amendment that it was incorrect. Can you advise under what other circumstances he acknowledges this. The note has been there since 2011. Whilst that doesn't mean it can't be wrong, but I've never been able to get him to acknowledge his bow before the end of the quest before, despite carrying it in front of him. Thanks in advance. Biffa (talk) 20:32, 27 July 2014 (GMT)

I already had his bow before I started Kyne's Sacred Trials. Each time I spoke to him right after the quest started, the dialogue re: the bow appeared, even after he told me I could keep it. As I a matter of fact, the only time he didn't offer the dialogue was after completing the last trial. Kellynne (talk) 20:55, 27 July 2014 (GMT)
Now that is strange as I've found the complete opposite with several characters in the past. I've got one now that can give it a go as well. Once I try with this character I'll post the findings on the talk page for the cave. Cheers for the info. Biffa (talk) 15:35, 29 July 2014 (GMT)
