Welcome[edit]

Hello Jwcway! Welcome to UESPWiki! It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you would like to spice up your userpage, click here for a list of userboxes you can use, including a guide to making your own.

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! Vely►t►e 18:51, 12 June 2013 (GMT)

a little help for creating my user page[edit]

please could you help me or as a matter of fact, tell me in detail, how to set up userboxes on my mobile device(thats what im using at the moment;had to go with mom,she is shopping while im on this mobile device using a mobile hotspot that i bought for mom, never did she use it;ahhh perfect time for that hotspot!)I also wanted to know how to do my fist article and help deciding what to do it on,most likely skyrim. thanksJwcway (talk) 20:56, 12 June 2013 (GMT)

Look at boxes on the userbox page. Edit your userpage, and insert the code to show a userbox. For example, {{User Artist}} will create the following userbox:
OB-Img-OreynPainting.jpg This user is an artist.
As for creating an article, we have most of the Skyrim articles that we need already; what do you want to write about? You may create a personal page, sort of like my page here, which lists the mods I like most. The Task List illustrates some things that need to be done around the wiki. Community Portal[edit]

Please stop removing topics from the Community Portal. We archive old topics, not just remove them. When necessary, someone will archive the page. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 20:40, 19 June 2013 (GMT)

--Jwcway (talk) 21:11, 19 June 2013 (GMT)AKB,i thought i was editing the UESP:community portal page.it said (meaning the page said)if any discusiion has nnot been discussed in a weeks time, delete it.yoou mailed me "please do not delete anything on the page(UESPcommunityPortal)it is archives.im so sorry,im just a new face on this wiki,i just wanted to help edit things.honestly,as it is now,i dont know wat 2 edit and wat not 2 edit,so can yougive me a list of things to do on User talk:Jwcway my talk page(jwcway).my talk page, jwcway.i understand that you post a reply on your talkPage, just plese send me a copy of the list of links (of pages that need to be edited)thank you,so much, again i apologize,i thought i was ddoing somthing good.
First, please keep a discussion on one page so it's easier to follow. As for it saying delete old topics, it does not. It specifically says: "Many discussions of community-wide interest are held on pages other than the community portal. Discussions about specific policies belong on the policy talk pages, for example. The following table lists other discussions that are currently in progress on other talk pages. If you start a discussion on another talk page, please add it to this list. If a discussion listed here has been inactive (i.e., no comments of any type in at least a week), please remove it from the list." This means that topics listed in that table directly below that line should be removed from the table if they're not updated. Old topics on the Community Portal are archived, as seen on UESPWiki:Community Portal/Archives. No one is upset about this, it's a reasonable mistake. If you need help finding things to edit, please consider looking over UESPWiki:Projects for things that might interest you. --AKB Talk Cont Mail
