Welcome Back Eshe!!!!!! We all dearly missed you on UESP. I was so lonely at night when it was only me and a couple others editing. I can't wate until you get back and kickin'!! So, this is here to welcome your comeback. It's been bugging us for awhile. I hope you don't read this before you come back lol. You know where to find me. Sincerely with greetings of happiness, Playjex 20:07, 12 August 2007 (EDT)

Thanks, Playjex. It's good to be back! --Eshe 20:58, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Welcome back indeed. I hope you had a good break and I'm sure you can't 'wate' to keep us all company at night ;-) --RpehTalk 05:07, 16 August 2007 (EDT)

Adoring Fan[edit]

Yeah sorry to botheryou but Im trying to make alot of adoring fans what do i have to type in? I know "Createfullactorcopy" but what must I put before that?— Unsigned comment by Itak (talkcontribs)

Sorry, I have no idea. I play the PS3 version of Oblivion, so I don't have access to the console feature. I would suggest taking a look at Oblivion:Console or asking another user who might be able to help you. Nephele is pretty knowledgeable about Oblivion and she plays the PC version, so you could try asking her. Good luck! --Eshe 23:20, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
Open the console and click on the target NPC so that their name appears at the top of the screen. Then type 'createfullactorcopy' --Saruuk 01:07, 23 August 2007 (EDT)

Thanks.

I need help with UESPWiki![edit]

Heyla, Darling![edit]

I don't think we've been introduced. I'm Mercy, fanfic author and patroller-bitch. I'm currently working on a fic parodying the wiki. May I steal your name for a character? Somercy 11:31, 10 September 2007 (EDT)

Nice to meet you, dear :). Of course you can use my name! Your story is amazing! --Eshe 11:58, 10 September 2007 (EDT)

Image deletion[edit]

Just a small note - when proposing an image for deletion, it would be helpful if you provided a link to that image in the proposal, rather than simply giving the name. Saves me from having to copy/paste the name in order to find the new image when I want to compare. Thanks. --TheRealLurlock Talk 00:39, 11 September 2007 (EDT)

I just noticed - you can also use the "Upload a new version of this file" option on the image page rather than uploading a new image. That's definitely the best option where it's just the light levels that have changed. --RpehTalk 03:01, 11 September 2007 (EDT)
Well, I was trying to make the links work, and for some reason all it did was insert the image into the deletion proposal box. It's likely that I'm just missing something obvious, but I couldn't figure it out, so that's why I've been doing it that way. I'll mess around with it again and see if I can get it to work.
I've also been following the guidelines for image naming on the Image Cleanup Project page:
The general formatting rules for image names are the 2-letter abbreviation for the game the image relates to (e.g. MW, TR, BM, OB, SI, etc.), followed by the category of image (e.g. NPC, Place, Map, etc.), followed by the name of the person, place, or map being depicted. So, for example, a picture of Oblivion:Brother Martin might have the filename: OB-NPC-Brother Martin.jpg.
So, in cases where the file has the correct name, I have been uploading a new version of it with the same name. In most cases though, the names don't follow those guidelines, so they're getting new names as I go along. --Eshe 10:09, 11 September 2007 (EDT)
Oh, sorry, I thought you'd know the format for that. To link to an image without displaying it, you just need to add a : before the "Image" tag, like so: [[:Image:OB-NPC-Dairihill.jpg]], which does this: Image:OB-NPC-Dairihill.jpg. --TheRealLurlock Talk 10:22, 11 September 2007 (EDT)
Oooooooooohhhhhh. Thanks! I'll use that from now on :). --Eshe 10:28, 11 September 2007 (EDT)
Fair enough on the naming convention, but I've been taking it as meaning that "MyL33tScrenSht.jpg" should be renamed but not "OB-FirstnameLastname.jpg". If you're going to rename every screenshot that doesn't meet the naming convention, you're in for a looooooong job! --RpehTalk 16:16, 11 September 2007 (EDT)

I dont know you, but[edit]

Your last 7 edits (the ones more recent than removing whoopie doopie from Oblivion:Planes of Oblivion) have been stringent and unhelpful. The more colorful wording is much preferable, and i can't help but notice you removed a helpful tip from one of the characters of oblivion's page. Reverting my edits was kinda rude because you didn't give a reason or any explanation, and my argument still stands that: A) There isn't any real evidence that Imperials are based on Romans and B) there is no reason to not allow players to draw their own conclusions. UESP is probably the most important source of elder scrolls info.. why poison it with speculation. — Unsigned comment by 66.102.205.67 (talk)

I really don't know why you feel that insulting a wiki editor will help you get your way. First of all, I was not the only one to revert your edits, nor was I the first, so it is clear to me that I am not the only one who disagrees with you. I am certainly not suggesting that you move on the attack the other editors, though, since that obviously won't get you anywhere either. If you feel that you have a case, you should make your argument on the article's talk page. Please keep in mind, however, that rudeness is not tolerated here. People are far more likely to take you seriously if you exercise a tone of politeness and patience. --Eshe 12:06, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
Oh im sorry, are the words "stringent and unhelpful" considered crass in your culture? How about a rebuttal to my argument instead of an attack on my modus operandi? Yes we will move this to the Imperial Talk page.— Unsigned comment by 66.102.205.67 (talk)
I'm afraid I cannot agree to indulge you. I will continue to disagree with your edit, but I will not debate with someone who employs rudeness to get his/her way. --Eshe 12:19, 17 September 2007 (EDT)

so in other words, you are going to keep reverting my edit diligently, without any explanation except that there is at least two people who disagree with me. Thats great, Eshe. — Unsigned comment by 66.102.205.67 (talk)

If I had meant that, I would have said so. I will have to ask you to refrain from behaving in this manner, as it is really not doing anything good for you. --Eshe 12:34, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
So eshe, where do you come from, where it is perfectly acceptable to just revert a newcomer's edits, shut him up and demand your position be accepted as final, yet an earnest and heartfelt, polite criticism is horribly uncouth??— Unsigned comment by 66.102.205.67 (talk)
This is my final word on the subject, just to close out the discussion for my own sanity. The whole idea of the wiki is to allow everyone to contribute, but it is above all a community effort. We all have to work together to ensure that the articles here are of the highest possible quality. When an edit is reverted, it is not an attack on the editor--it's just for the overall improvement of the site. I hope you will learn to contribute to UESPWiki in a more positive, constructive manner. --Eshe 14:01, 17 September 2007 (EDT)

RC Patroler[edit]

I'm sorry; I'm just used to Wikipedia's way of doing things. There, users just put a RC Patroller userbox on their page to show that they watch it voluntarily-I didn't realize it was an actual position here. --Hargrimm 23:31, 23 September 2007 (EDT)

Hey, don't worry about it. It's not very clearly stated on the userbox listing (which makes me think we probably ought to change it...) so it's an honest mistake ;). --Eshe 23:33, 23 September 2007 (EDT)

Redguard thumbs[edit]

Just noticed you adding the licenses to these files - you should just {{prod}} them instead. We don't need manual thumbnails on the site, as the wiki does those automatically. And they're not even being used, so there's no harm in deleting them. --TheRealLurlock Talk 23:06, 26 September 2007 (EDT)

Will do! Thanks for letting me know. --Eshe 23:08, 26 September 2007 (EDT)
