Arena[edit]

I just wanted to say that the fact nobody responded to your question on Arena doesn't mean we're ignoring you. In general you'll get a better response on the forums, because most wiki people don't check the Recent Changes page so won't ever see your question. We also try to discourage "I don't know" responses, which is probably why there have been no replies. –RpehTCE 02:01, 1 August 2008 (EDT)

Re:...[edit]

Hello, Daedryon. I thought I recognized the name. C Teng 07:09, 1 August 2008 (EDT)

Don't worry, I don't think you're Total Rune. If you are, you aren't making any vandalism, so it wouldn't matter. C Teng 10:04, 1 August 2008 (EDT)

Permission[edit]

I probably should have asked first, but I hope you don't mind that I copied your user page to construct my own? I realise many other users have the same format and all, but I'm still new at all the editing stuff so I just copied your code :P If there's any problem, let me know.--AlphamanT 03:11, 3 August 2008 (EDT)

Temple-Zero[edit]

So it's clear, I have no hard feelings for Temple-Zero. I consider him a friend, and one who has acted rashly. And I'm not an angry person - by the way. Sload 04:24, 3 August 2008 (EDT)

Maiq wishes he had a stick made out of fishies to give to you. Sadly, he does not.

Your just doing a good job! -M'aiq the Liar 09:53, 5 August 2008 (EDT)

Language[edit]

Although you've had some words to say about other another user's language, would you mind moderating your own? Edits such as this and this aren't particularly bad in their own right but coming one after another could be seen to be starting a pattern. Please try to keep things a little more civil. –RpehTCE 12:20, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

Please don't feed the troll[edit]

I'd ask you to abstain from throwing oil into the fire, as done here. Insulting an established and important part of the community as the Imperial Library will not go down well. Consider this an "unofficial" warning, any repeated offense will result in other measures. --BenouldTC 15:40, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

Edit comments[edit]

Daedryon, it's great that you help out with patrolling. However, could you be diligent about providing edit summaries? Those do help judging why things are undone, so they don't appear as unexplained deletions. The summary also provides editors feedback, and encourages them to improve their edits. Thanks, BenouldTC 01:43, 9 August 2008 (EDT)

Sorry![edit]

I'm sorry, I should have guessed it-- but I'm used to OblivioWiki, and I just Copypasta my actual user into here. I'm going to work on it ASAP. -Herlock 21:40, 15 August 2008 (EDT)Herlock

removial of vandalizim[edit]

Thank you for reverting a edit by what appears to be a vandal, if I would of known how to, I would of myself, but I am still kind of new to this whole wiki editing thing Chibiace 03:26, 19 August 2008 (EDT)

Images[edit]

Stop! Please stop!

We know those images aren't used at the moment but they haven't been proposed for deletion because they might be useful, or a user might want them! –RpehTCE 01:17, 20 August 2008 (EDT)

Threatening messages[edit]

Can i refer you to this. You make it sound like the user needs someone holding their hand like they're a 2 year old! The tone of your recent edits is unnacceptable and if it continues I will e contacting an admin to raise my concerns. --Volanaro TCE 08:40, 21 August 2008 (EDT)

Daedryon, your response to Volanaro's comment was inappropriate, and has only provided further proof that you are clearly unfamiliar with this wiki's policies and guidelines. You have already been told by rpeh and by Benould that your comments on other users' talk pages have been inappropriate. The tone of your comments to Volanaro was as bad as your comments to new editors: Volanaro has far more experience on this wiki than you do, so to treat his comments so dismissively is nothing but disrespectful.
Your repeated claims that your behaviour is acceptable because you have experience on wikipedia are false and irrelevant. Assume good faith is a central wikipedia guideline, and is further reinforced by other guidelines such as Please do not bite the newcomers. Your comments to Markuskus definitely qualify as "biting the newcomer" and would therefore be equally unacceptable on wikipedia. To claim otherwise only undermines your contention that you are an experienced wikipedia editor. Furthermore, your interpretations of guidelines on other wikis have no relevance on UESPWiki. What matters on UESPWiki are the guidelines in place here, including our version of Assume Good Faith. Your edits have repeatedly violated Assume Good Faith.
For example, in this particular case to state that Markuskus is a vandal because he created a couple of roleplaying articles, and in particular because he made a mistake in naming one of those articles, is simply wrong. Nothing that Markuskus has done qualifies as vandalism, period. Assume good faith means that you have no grounds to treat someone as vandal unless there is unmistakeable evidence that person has intentionally tried to disrupt the wiki.
At this point, your edits have been far more disruptive to the wiki than Markuskus'. Alienating new editors to the wiki is one of the most disruptive actions you can take, and is ultimately far worse than vandalizing pages. A vandal's work can be undone with one or two clicks; it is often never possible to repair a new editor's bad impressions of the site caused by welcome messages such as this. Without editors, a wiki is dead, so any actions that cause the wiki to lose editors result in fundamental, lasting damage to the site. In addition, several of your comments have done nothing but further inflame already sensitive situations. In general, aggravating the situation is what you can expect to accomplish if you disrespect other editors and jump to unjustified conclusions about other editors' motives. We don't need any additional aggravations.
One thing is unmistakeable from your edits and the repeated requests made by other editors for you to tone down your comments: you are not familiar with this wiki's guidelines. Therefore, it seems particularly inappropriate for you to be trying to give other new editors advice. I would strongly recommend that you stop trying to tell other editors how to edit, at least until you have demonstrated that you have read and understood this site's policies. I would much rather have vandals not get warnings than have you continue to intimidate and harass new editors. If you have any doubt about whether or not an edit is appropriate, you probably should not make it. If you ignore this recommendation and continue to disrespect other editors (either experienced editors such as Volanaro or new editors such as Markuskus), we will be forced to escalate this and give you an official warning. Please pay attention to these repeated requests before this has to go any further. --NepheleTalk 23:18, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
Whatever. DaedryonTCE 23:25, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
As you yourself just said: if we have to go give you a bad comment, we will, you cannot just say "no bad comments" and expect everyone to be nice to you. If you continue to act in a manner that warrants a warning, or even blocking, then it is the responsibility of the admins to take appropriate action in order to protect the other members of this community. No matter what disrespectful messages you post on your user page. --NepheleTalk 23:35, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
