Highlander[edit]

Nord/Breton, As this character type you are a Celtic warrior fixed on bringing your clan fame and glory. When first creating your character, make sure to give him warpaint, you can choose your own color and style yourself based on your clan's colors! You may want to not level past lower levels to keep steel and iron weapons efficient, a clansman uses nothing but the most basic weapons. Combat should be your leveling focus, you have no need for magic unless you decide to be your clan's Shaman. Smithing should also be important as to hone your weapons and armor. In Skyrim, each hold has it's own colored armor, choose from these color sets and pick your clans tartan [Colors]. Rename the guard armor as: '[Clans Name] Clan Raiment'. Have your own story behind how your clan was formed, and make sure to dress your clanmates (followers) in your clan's raiment! The hold where you obtained your raiment is your clan's home. Make sure to protect it at all costs! Make sure to own a house in your clan's home city also and appoint yourself captain of the guardsmen and make sure to become thane. Wage war against other holds by raising your bounty high enough so that guards attack you on site, or become allies with other holds and have no bounty! Embark on adventures and hunt to provide for your clanmates. Conquer forts in your clan's name and claim them for yourself! Expand your territory and make Allies with the Imperials or Stormcloaks or neither if you want to take everything over yourself! Your clan will need a steady income if it is to prosper, have a clan business such as milling, mining, or trading. Don't stop until you're the most powerful clan in all of Skyrim!

DawnBreaker[edit]

The DawnBreaker was one of the finest warriors in Tamriel, but when the civil war started, the DawnBreakers were at war with the Stormcloaks and Imperials, you are the only one who fights for what is right. You and your followers are the last DawnBreakers, and when the Imperials find you, your follower escapes, but you don't, and the beginning of the game starts. Your Race should be either Redguard, Imperial or Orc. Find a Fort and conquer it to make it your HQ, eventually capture more Forts and even conquer cities! Take your revenge on the Imperials and Stormcloacks, be sure you recruit more warriors with a Mo followers mod. Become known as the Finest Warriors Of Tamriel

White Lion[edit]

The White Lion's of Chrace are the noble guardians of the High Elf, Phoenix King. They are hunters and woodsmen bearing large 2h Battle Axes clad in Light Armor. White Lions are given their name due to their recruitment ritual. To become a White Lion, a High Elf must face an actual White Lion in one on one combat. Upon succeeding, it is traditional for the High Elf to capture a White Lion cub and train it in the art of Combat. For this Character Type you must be a High Elf that is more focused on combat. Two handed is a very important skill for this character type, as the traditional weapon is a gnarly battleaxe to maximize slaughter potential. The headsman's axe is a great weapon for the character, as it is the biggest axe in the game! It was also traditional for White Lions to wear the pelt of their slayed beast. The Emperors Robes work fantastic for this, as they have white fur bordering the neck. Backed up with glass/elven armor, you're character will look perfect for the part. As your initiation ritual, you must travel deep into the frozen north of Skyrim, and seek a snowy sabre cat and slay it on master difficulty. You won't be able to do this at a low level, so seek out training and prepare yourself for the fight beforehand. After passing your ritual obtain the Dragon Shout that enables animals to be allies with you, and find a snowy sabre cat, using it to aid you in your battles as your very own personal beast. After you're character is a true White Lion, try and become friends with the Thalmor, doing the Imperial quests to aid them in their rebellion against the Storm Cloaks. Find someone important and serve as their personal bodyguard slaying anything that stands in your way. Possibly do freelance work for the blades, ridding the world of the evil dragons. When choosing a home, somewhere wooded such as the Falkreath Hold should be considered as you are a woodsman. Hunt for your food, or use your lion to hunt it for you, always remember to give it some of your meat so it can eat too! Remember to also make offerings of hides and meat to your gods who aid you in your hunt.

Idea and Description by PsijicOrder.

Sith Warrior[edit]

As a Sith Warrior you should wear the black Robes and use a glowing red enchanted weapon, katanas work best. With the Destruction skill you specialize in "Force Lightning" and you can use your "Force Sprint" (Whirlwind Sprint) to rush in and out of situations, you should also use Mind Tricks to get better prices and wear Sith Masks to increase your force powers. Your slaves should follow you honorably but be punished when they don't exactly do your bidding to your complete satisfaction. On your travels you could stumble upon the secret of eternal life through some sort of disease that makes you reliant on blood, extending your life span without limit. The Imperials and Dark Brotherhood are both two good quest lines to complete as a Sith Warrior.

Samurai[edit]

As a Samurai, you are the most honorable and skilled soldiers any Jarl has access to. Samurai were divided into many clans and served their masters fiercely and with the utmost loyalty. As a Samurai you will serve your master without question, even if it means ending your life. Your Clan should define what weapons you're more efficient in and choices you make. Each Jarl is different so you'll need to do different things to honor them. When doing the Civil War quests, choose whatever side your clan is with, but remember you're the commanding officer of the ground forces. Lead them into battle and fight ferociously and until death if necessary, NEVER Surrender. Keep in mind, companions are allowed unless you are a lone wolf. Before choosing your clan, you may want to research it a bit more, finding it's allies and enemies and real techniques used. Create a backstory for how you became a Samurai and how your clan was formed. Below are the main Samurai Clans and Clan Specific Information for each of them. If you wish to be a Rogue Samurai, or Ronin, look in the Criminal section.

Clan Hojo

Your clan's color is Purple and your City is Riften. Bearing Riften Guard Armor is your best bet for Clan appropriate armor or the Robes of Mephala for common wear. Your clan's relic is Azura's Star, once it's been obtained, guard it with your life. The Hojo were known for their particular love of Castles and Strongholds using as many defensive techniques as possible to obtain victory. Your bow is your most trusted weapon and your single katana next to that. Your bow should be enchanted with Fire Damage like you're using burning pitch. Use your bow to ambush enemy war parties or lay siege to an enemy stronghold. Always ignite pools of oil to destroy your enemy and fire runes as mines. You should use the environment to your advantage as much as possible. Fight for the Stormcloaks.

Clan Imagawa

Your clan's color is light blue and your city is Winterhold. A good choice for clan armor is either Blades Armor or Winterhold Guard Armor. Your clan's relic is Chillrend, an ancient weapon used since the 2nd Era dealing out Ice damage. The Imagawa were truly known for their mastery of deceit and use of Ninjas during War Campaigns. You should have a very high Speech skill so you can talk your way in and out of situations. Your mastery of one handed weapons should surpass all others, you should use dual katanas or a katana and a dagger. Archery is second. You may need a bow to take out enemy sentries. Master infiltration skills, Imagawa was infamous for sneaking into enemy castles and fighting the enemy from the inside. Fight for the Stormcloaks.

Clan Mori

Your clan's color is Red and your city is Solitude. Wear Heavy Imperial Armor/Solitude Guard Armor/Penitus Oculatus Armor. Your clan Relic could be the Mask of Clavicus Vile, as it looks like a samurai mask and contains red cloth underneath. Side with the Imperials during the Civil War and protect Shogun Tullius with your life. The Mori were known for their religious devotion, you'll need to adopt a Divine and worship them as needed, honoring them in combat. Unlike most Clans, the Mori prefer 2 handed weapons. Ebony/Daedric greatswords work perfectly for this. Always keep a bow handy and a katana in case you're disarmed.

Clan Oda

Your clan's color is Gold/Yellow and your city is Whiterun. Wear Whiterun Guard Armor or Dwarven Armor for your clan. Your clan Relic is Spell Breaker and should be guarded with your life but never used in Combat. The Oda were known for their sheer numbers and strength. Use a single katana and a bow. Fight for the Imperials.

Clan Shimazu

Your clan's color is Green and your City is Markarth. Wear Markarth Guard Armor or the greenish Glass armor for your clan. Your clan's relic is Grimsever, an ancient Shimazu blade stolen by the Riften Resident Mjoll. The Shimazu are known for brutal offensive tactics, you should wield a greatsword or dual katanas. Bow for backup. Offense is key. Fight for the Imperials.

Clan Takeda

Your clan's color is black and your city is Dawnstar. Wear Ebony/Blades armor for your clan. Your clan's relic is the Skull of Corruption. You'll need to complete the quest and kill the heretic wishing to destroy it. The Takeda Samurai were fabled for their cavalry prowess and use of bludgeoning weapons. Purchase as a horse as soon as possible and wield the most gnarly war hammer you can find. Keep a single katana and bow for back up. Fight for the Imperials.

Clan Uesugi

Your clan's color is dark blue and your city is Windhelm. Wear Falkreath/Windhelm/Stormcloak/Blades Armor for your clan armor. Your Clan's Relic is Dragonrend. Clan Uesugi's Samurai were the best archers in all of Japan, use your bow to strike down enemies from far away, then finishing those remaining with your trusty katana. Fight for the Stormcloaks and serve Emperor Stormcloak until you die in Combat.

Idea by PsijicOrder. Description by PsijicOrder.

Blade[edit]

Be with The Blades, and wear their armor. Do the main quests and fight dragons, protecting civilians and leaders from a doom of breath. Your enemy is The Thalmor and Empire because of the disband of the worship of Talos. But, you are one of the only factions who realize the dragon threat is above all. Go on dragon hunts with the Blades, and when you become better, lead the dragon hunts and use the katana if you can get your hands on one. Be good with one handed weapons and choose between archery and magic because you will be fighting dragons.

Idea by PsijicOrder. Description by Imperialkhajiit and PsijicOrder.

Barbarian[edit]

Be savage, be disgusting. The barbarian lives to live, and maybe to fight. Your should probably be a real Atmorian, and act like one too. Most likely living in the snow and ice of Northern Skyrim, you use battle axes because of your brute strength, and nothing else. Do not act with civization much, and if you do, always wear rags. With your barbarian friends, you do not need to wear any clothes. Hunt, and obtain food to put in storage. Eat raw and fast. You should have followers with you and eat for as many people are with you to act as if they are eating too. Have feasts often, like every first of the month. Choose a god (probably a daedra) to worship.

Idea by PsijicOrder. Description by Imperialkhajiit 13:01, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

Knight[edit]

As a knight, find a leader and protect him/her. Do everything you can for him/her, like quests and bountys. If there is nothing else the leader wants, go out and kill undead, or secure the perimeter around the town, makeing sure the roads are safe. Wear full sets of steel armor, and ride a black or white horse. Use a steel sheild and sword, and practice chivalry. Do not have followers, knights are more of lone rangers. Though if you wish you could hire a follower to be a squire and have them wait at a certain place while you go out and adventure. Do not take off or put on you armor unless your squire is with you. Armor is heavy and difficult to put on without some help. Be profitable and kind, and give your money to the poor. Do not own a home, but live with a noble or leader. you should be focusing more on a rush type class kill everyone in the least amount of seconds! two handed weapons with heavy armor.

Idea by PsijicOrder. Description by Imperialkhajiit 13:04, 31 December 2011 (UTC). Edited by --Sibane 16:42, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Alik'r[edit]

Make your race a Redguard and obtain the clothing and weaponry of the Alik'r. The clothing - Alik'r hood, Hammerfell garb and Redguard boots can be bought at Radiant Raiment in solitude. For your weapon, use a scimitar but no shield (the Alik'r warriors only use scimitars). Another way to get the clothing and scimitar is to stealthily kill an Alik'r. Complete "In My Time Of Need" by siding with the Alik'r's and telling them of Saadia's location. You could be a vampire for more realsim, considering that is how they started, and you can join The Companions aknowledging that they used to be pretty active in the Fighter's Guild. Though, you may want to lay low, because Alik'r are looked at differently now a days. Another option is to join the Dark Brotherhood, acting as a sort of foreign assassin if you wish. Or, you could just go around Skyrim finding old ruins and habitations looking for loot, basically being an adventuring Redguard.

Idea by PsijicOrder. Description by --Shadowfox 01:33, 31 December 2011 (UTC and Imperialkhajiit 12:43, 31 December 2011 (UTC).

Mercenary[edit]

Get followers, and act as if you are following them. Always carry around as much as you can with you, because you do not know what will be coming next. Do quests that your follower would like to do, and pay yourself by taking all of your follower's stuff.

You can also just do quests for people, and make sure you are paid for your work. You shouldn't be very nice, and do things just for yourself. You should make profit on selling things you get.

Idea by PsijicOrder. Description by Imperialkhajiit 13:10, 31 December 2011 (UTC).

Ancient Nord[edit]

You are an atmoran or maybe a nord who wants to stick to the old ways. Wear full ancient nord armour and use an ancient nord weapon. You can get a set of ancient nord armour from Forelhost on the mountain south-east of Riften. You may want to get the helm of Yngol from Yngol's Barrow as it is the helm draugr deathlords wear. Join the Companions as they were founded by Ysgramor and you can turn ancient nord weapons into Nordic hero weapons. I recommend using an ancient nord war axe/Nordic hero war axe and Ysgramors shield or Wuuthrad. Try Aela as a companion as she wears ancient nord armour. Hate mages and never run away from an enemy. --Viking pillager 21:20, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Orc Warlord[edit]

You are a somewhat old, yet strong orc, who commanded many soldiers and warriors, in Orsinium. You can be any sex, but for roleplaying reasons, you should be a male. Your story of why you are in skyrim, is your choice. I will suggest some ideas.

a.) You were one of the most powerful and respected Warlord in Orsinium. Until the day you got the news from a courier, that you lost a war with a neighboring country, or another orcish army. You were shunned, and mistreated. You were banished by the King of Orinium. While you are walking out, only having the clothes on your back, the people who feared and respected you, now shun you, you only feel shame. You are banished from Orsinium. So you go to Skyrim, to make a new start. Whether you want to be the ruler you once were, or if you want a more peaceful life.

b.) You are one of the most powerful warlords of Orsinium. But, one day, the King tells you, that you must do some business in Skyrim. As you enter the border, you are arrested by Imperials. --[ [ User:Cyberius] 4:23

c.) For the weapons/armor you should use orcish later in the game. Since you wre banished start off with iron/steel.

d.) For the things you can do, you can help other orc clans across Skyrim, help any orcs that have a quest, and whenever you kill an orc brother, always show respect by doing a mini ceromony for him; if you can, avoid killing him all together.

e.) You may decide to rage across Skyrim, destroying villages to show how powerful you are, just to show you are capable of being in Orsinium and become a warlord again. At the end of your roleplay, you can pretend your orc went back to orsinium and became the warlord he was before. Or maby he found that killing the inocent felt right and he stayed in Skyrim, soon to become the high king of skyrim and only children survived (and some quest people, you can act like they're your slaves/guards).

f) You were banished from orsinium for not executing your brother(as punishment) and when you arrived at skyrim, you decided to take revenge and single handedly murder the orcs in skyrim. kill them off one person at a time until you reach your last strong hold and murder all possible orcs. Once done, you may choose that your orc has had enough and wanders into a hold (with a bounty) and allow the guards to kill you as you had a dream that malacath told you he will wait for you and allow you to be another orc god.

Werewolf[edit]

You are a werewolf that isn't aligned with the Companions. You have to do their questline until you get the werewolf power but after that stop. Do the Whiterun quest so you can buy Breezehome. Until then, live in an inn or tavern room, although a house is better fitting. Every night transform into a werewolf and slaughter some guards and stuff. Once you do, exit the city and go out to kill animals and random travelers. Continue to feed on them so that you can remain in beast form as long as possible. Once you transform back, you're just an ordinary person, probably a Nord. Wear clothes of some kind or a Belted Tunic. You should use some kind of weapon, however. A steel or iron dagger would work best. When the guards approach you and try to get you to surrender and stuff, submit and go to jail but never pay off the bounty as you're just a regular person not some rich guy. You keep getting arrested and don't know why so maybe you go to the Jarl. Once you've become a Thane whenever guards come to you use the Thane's power as if the Jarl had told the guards to stop arresting you, that you can't possibly be the murderer because you were asleep in your house or something.

Bravo[edit]

You are a Mercenary Duellist Imperial from the Imperial City who specialises in dual-wielding. Wear fancy clothing or something rugged - depending on how many nobles you may have killed, and use two Katanas (It's the closest thing to a rapier in Skyrim). Do quests that involve slaying noblemen. Stick to cities like Solitude and Riften, and use a horse to travel around. Fight guards regularly (But do not kill them) and start fights in taverns. (Please expand)

Paladin[edit]

You are the ultimate undead hunter, the Dawnguard quest are your first priority as they are focused on destroying vampires. Preferably wear Dawnguard armor but any heavy armor besides Daedric or Orcish makes sense too. You are skilled with one-handed weapons and your shield but restoration magic is the key to your power, as it not only keeps you alive but it has spells that are made specifically for killing undead, you may also dabble in destruction magic as fire is effective against undead. Do Meridia's quest and get Dawnbreaker as soon as possible as this is the best weapon for killing undead. Do any quests that involve killing undead and periodically raid necromancer, vampire, and Draugr lairs. Besides slaying undead, you are very righteous and do anything to help others as long as it does not involve anything "evil" (the exact definition of evil is up to you). Your companion, if you want one who shares your morals and will help you in your quest to destroy undead, so this is largely up to personal preference.

Knight-Errant[edit]

These knights are the highest ranking and most prestigious soldiers in the Jarl's Army. They command a squad of the best troops into battle, and undertake the most perilous Quests. To be a Knight-Errant, you should be a Nord, but any race is Acceptable (depending on the hold you are the Knight-Errant of. You couldn't be a Dunmer Knight-Errant in Windhelm for example). You should wear expensive armour, Preferably Glass (for light armoured knights) or Daedric. Most of you're items should be enchanted, and you should use a weapon that is given to you after you become Thane of a hold. Get jobs from the steward, and help people around town. In you're free time, Hunt the undead or clear out Bandit camps and Giant camps in your Hold. You should only live in a hold where you can buy a nice house, not a shabby one.

Idea and Description by Oblivionation.

Exiled Thalmor Mage/Soldier[edit]

You were a Thalmor Soldier or mage and due to a crime you didn't commit you were exiled. After that you swore vengeance against the Thalmor, your race would be a High Elf and you still use Thalmor robes or Elven Armor.

Risen Mortal[edit]

Basically like talos, you were a mortal, who did many many good deeds, then turned divine.

For race, i would be a human race.

First, do lots of good, legal quests for people, then die. Make it look either like you were plotted against by the daedra,or you were ambushed used by a strong force.

Anti-hero[edit]

You start off as a normal man. Getting drunk, partying at inns, fistfighting, and partaking in most of the usual single life activities. But then one day you fall in love with a woman. Your home is attacked and you learn that you are a good fighter by defending yourself. And then your wife is killed. You become a drunk and take vengeance on those who wronged you. You live out your days at the bottom of a bottle of ale. But then others call for your help. Later on you help them but not for a feeling of goodness. You do it out of a hatred of those who you are told to fight. You kill whoever you deem fit and take whatever pleases you. In the end you are praised as a hero but the way you achieved this status is rather questionable.

idea by Barbarian king

Mountain Orc[edit]

You are an orc that originally came from Orsinium. You are not like your stronghold brothers. You are purely wild orc. Be as anti social as you can. You never go into cities, except to smith. Never, and i repeat never use a weapon or armor made by another. If you have to, use your fists. Never buy or sell merchandise. Drop unwanted stuff or store it. Use any kind of weapon that you have made. Heck, even even enchant them if you want. Prefer orcish armor over other kinds, but if you cant make any just make another kind. Now there is one exception to use anothers stuff; if they are dead, you can loot them. Now for this build, you must be an orc. No other races allowed. You may decide to be a conquering kind of mountain orc. If you are, i would start with riverwood, since they have no guards at first. Now remember you cant really enter any major cities, since royalty calls you a barbarian. Oh yes, I would recommend using axes and hammers over swords. And you can either worship malacath or make your own gods.

Corrupted Paladin[edit]

You are a Paladin who was seduced by a Daedric Prince, how and where it happened is up to you. Choose which Prince swayed your allegiance(only Prince you are not allowed is Meridia, as she is the Prince you used to serve) and do their quest to become their Champion, then wield their weapon, wear their armour and use the powers they have bestowed upon you. You do not have to be entirely evil(if you really want to be evil, choose an evil Prince like Molag Bal or Mehrunes Dagon), but you must follow out your master's orders to the letter, whether you like it or not, after all, it was you who swore your allegiance to them. Use Shadowmere, a horse you can unlock in the Dark Brotherhood, Arvak, who can be unlocked via Dawnguard or a black horse. Wear Daedric or, if you don't have that, ebony armour, with the exception of Daedric artifact armour and use your Daedric lord's weapon (if it is one handed, use a spell relevant to the Prince, preferably destruction/conjuration). If your chosen Prince doesn't give you a weapon, use daedric/ebony weapons, enchanted with Destruction magics. Also, if you get neither weapon or armour from your chosen Prince, and instead get a power, use that power as much as you can in combat.

idea and description by KhajiitOverlord777

Viking[edit]

You are the leader of a viking radier clan. Become thane and buy a house (or build one if you have Hearthfire). Have a wife and children, also gather followers and keep them around your home. This is your clan that you fight for. If you are a norse raider, you should probably be a Nord, but any race should work. Take your followers and lead them on raids to the settlements and towns of Skyrim. Just make sure you don't kill everyone, because then you wouldn't have a target for next time. Use your money to buy food, housing, and equipment. Remember to take the right equipment on raids. You will be away from home for a while so bring food for you and your companion. Bring horse hides to sleep on, bring a roll of paper if you want to use your map, and bring warm clothes for harsh weather. Join the theives guild for the fences, but don't progress further. Give your son a wooden sword and train him to become chief one day. Remember to eat, sleep, and travel on foot or by horse. Use axes, swords, and longbows. Don't use magic, except powers such as Battle Cry. Wear any armour you see fit. If you have Dragonborn DLC, take a ship to Solstheim and raid by sea on a new frontier.

Great War-Hero[edit]

You barely survived the Great War during the invasion of the imperial city as you lay on the battlefield severely wounded, for years you have been wandering the wilds of Tamriel and have made Skyrim your home. With amazing combat experience and knowledge of The Aldmeri Dominion you plan to stop the invading elves and bring peace to Tamriel. Become a simple man and live in Skyrim peacefully Or put an end to the vengeance and take up arms in Skyrim's Civil War. Who will you choose? The Imperial Army that lead you to your fame Or The Stormcloak Rebellion that fight for independence, tradition and honor?

Build a home, start a family and earn an honest living as the memories of war replay through your mind.

Knight-Paladin[edit]

You are a Knight-Paladin of the Order of the Dragon. You fought during the Great War, and lost an eye to a Thalmor arrow. As such, you may harbour a resentment for elves. You were chosen to go to Skyrim by the High Chancellor of the Imperial Council, to aid General Tullius' force and to enforce law and order in the region. As a member of the Order, you were trained in the use of heavy armour, bladed weapons and bows. If you are faced with vampires, bandits or any other form of lawbreaker, you are expected to "administer swift and unrelenting justice." If you have the Dawnguard DLC, fight on the side of the Dawnguard. If you must take a companion, either hire a mercenary to assist you, or take a companion with morals, such as a Dawnguard companion or a member of the Companions.

As far as the Civil War goes, you have two choices. Either follow your orders, or go rogue and assist Ulfric Stromcloak. Since the Thalmor took your eye, you see fit to take their lives.

Dragonborn DLC would play out as normal, be sure to help the Redoran Guard with the Fort Forstmoth problem and ensure the Skaal are protected.

Idea and description by AspirantPaladin. Feel free to add to this. - AspirantPaladin.

Rogue Werewolf[edit]

You are a rogue werewolf, a werewolf who has completed all quests of the Companions. After you complete all of their quests and stay as a werewolf, you abandon them and live in Breezehome in Whiterun. You live and fight on your own, becoming an assassin and killing guards and such. If you want you could kill the Companions and claim Jorrvaskr for your own. Make sure you complete Glory of the Dead in the Companions if you do this though, so they're not essential.
