UESPWiki:Creation Kit Information Requests

The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
Jump to: navigation, search

The Creation Kit (previously known as the Construction Set or CS) is a tool that can be used to view and edit the game's data files. It is a program that can be used to control nearly any aspect of the game or create mods, capable of adding brand new user-created game content, examining the game data and retexturing the game.

On this page, editors may make specific Creation Kit information requests for use on article pages. Creation Kit Information requests should always pertain to content-related articles which need related CK information or need confirmation with the help of CK; this is not a place to request CK information for personal interests or problems.

Before you post a request, please make sure the information you want can be found or checked in CK. If the information you want can be found or checked in game or in any other ways easily, do not post your requests here. Avoid making general requests, such as "Detailed information about loot of containers" or "A leveled list for Dragons in the wildness of Solstheim". A better request would be more specific, such as "Detailed information about loot of knapsacks" or "A leveled list for the Dragon near Solstheim's western coast (close to Water Stone)". Try to keep requests brief, but if the subject matter isn't perfectly obvious, please explain your request by providing details, such as the detailed section of the article where the information will be placed or need confirmation.

Using this Page[edit]

Posting a Request[edit]

Please post your requests under the Information Requested section in a bulletlist format, and sign your post. Please add the most recent requests to the bottom of the list. If requesting some information for a game other than Skyrim, please specify the game in your request. If requesting multiple things for use on the same article, provide a link to the article page and related sections, group them into a list, and sign below the full list. If possible, please provide your in-game experience to help any potential contributors double-check their CK results.

Example:

Article: Skyrim:Fletcher (place) - Displayed Merchandise
  • A leveled list for displayed bows in Fletcher.
These bows may change with my level and one of them can reach Daedric quality at a high level.

Dreamshadow (talk) 08:37, 28 April 2013 (GMT)

Article: Skyrim:Special Delivery (Bolli) - Quest Reward

  • Information about the Quest Reward
I can often get a silver ingot and one or more other ingots in return.

Fulfilling a Request[edit]

If you fulfill a request, please strike out the request by using <s> at the beginning and </s> at the end, then write down your results you got in a user-friendly way directly below the request with your signature included. Do not add the results to the related page; the editor who requested the information should do this themselves. If possible, provide necessary links to CSlist, other knowledgeable editors can double-check your results or add more information in addition.

Example:

Article: Skyrim:Fletcher (place) - Displayed Merchandise
  • A leveled list for displayed bows in Fletcher.
These bows may change with my level and one of them can reach Daedric quality at a high level.

Dreamshadow (talk) 08:37, 28 April 2013 (GMT)

Article: Skyrim:Special Delivery (Bolli) - Quest Reward

  • Information about the Quest Reward
I can often get a silver ingot and one or more other ingots in return.

Dreamshadow (talk) 02:51, 5 May 2013 (GMT)

  • You will get four ingots, each of which has a 50/50 chance to be a silver ingot or a leveled ingot. The leveled ingot is chosen from this list (may end up being a silver ingot). So while it's highly likely you'll get at least one silver ingot. Robin Hood  (talk) 05:07, 5 May 2013 (GMT)

Removing a Request[edit]

In general, the editor who requested the information should remove the completed request. That editor should first add the results to the corresponding article before removing the request from this page. If the request has nothing to do with the CK or related information can not be found in the CK, anyone who is knowledgeable about the CK may remove this request, and a note should be given in the edit summary why the request was removed.

Information Requested[edit]

Article: Skyrim:Hearthfire - Bug, Skyrim:Adoption - Bug

  • Stewards, housecarls, followers, children and spouse, when and how do they set ownership with each bed in your Hearthfire houses.
They may sleep in some strange palces, even move to another plot and sleep there. Dreamshadow (talk) 08:18, 10 May 2013 (GMT)

Article Skyrim:Followers/Table

One problem that I see with that right off-hand is that a lot of those stats are probably going to be levelled. Robin Hood  (talk) 14:32, 22 May 2013 (GMT)
We should be able to drop the formulae in the table though, right? --Nocte|Chat|Look 07:05, 23 May 2013 (GMT)
The data that is currently filled in there is nearly all leveled anyway. I believe it's all based on the NPC's maximum level. --Morrolan (talk) 14:56, 25 August 2013 (GMT)

Article: Skyrim:Dragon, Skyrim:Alduin's Wall

  • During Alduin's Wall, an extra dragon spawns south of the Karthspire, usually you encounter it somewhere around Old Hroldan if you're approaching from the south. It appears to be higher-level than other dragons that you meet from regular leveled lists. What's the minimum level required for it to possibly be a Legendary dragon (with Dawnguard installed), what are the odds of it being a Legendary dragon, and is there a level where it would always be a Legendary dragon? --Morrolan (talk) 11:28, 28 July 2013 (GMT)
I've done some study of the quest in CSList. Here's what I found so far: the Alduin's Wall script has the code
;Enable the second batch of dragon mounds.
dunDragonMoundQST.SetStage(50)
after Esbern and Delphine are made followers. In dunDragonMoundQST this starts Fragment_5, which reads:
Function Fragment_5()
;BEGIN CODE
;Batch #2 -- MQ203 Stage 60
Alias_DragonMoundTundra04Marker.GetReference().Enable()
Alias_DragonMoundReach02Marker.GetReference().Enable()
Alias_DragonMoundPineForest01Marker.GetReference().Enable()
Alias_DragonMoundPineForest02Marker.GetReference().Enable()
Alias_DragonMoundPineForest03Marker.GetReference().Enable()

;Start Alduin Resurrect Scene 2 at DragonMoundTundra03
MQResurrectDragon.SetStage(20)
;END CODE
EndFunction
The call to MQResurrectDragon just spawns Nahagliiv. However I did some investigation of DragonMoundReach02Marker and it turns out that its cell ID is 0x00000d74, which links to a record modified by Dawnguard. That caught my interest so I looked it up, and it turns out that EdgeMarkerOldHroldan has exactly the same cell ID. Which means that somehow the line Alias_DragonMoundReach02Marker.GetReference().Enable() is connected to the spawning of the dragon, but now I'm not sure where to look next for the leveled list. Anyone? --Morrolan (talk) 13:09, 6 September 2013 (GMT)
Can't answer the question, but judging from this edit, it seems that there may be something to this particular dragon spawn being a higher level than normal. It would be useful to know how much higher. — ABCface 21:25, 18 September 2013 (GMT)
It looks like the quest may affect all random dragons, not just the one south of the Karthspire. I had a level 69 character today encounter two Legendary Dragons while on Alduin's Wall, one flying over the plains of Whiterun and the other in the traditional spot south of the Karthspire. --Morrolan (talk) 15:08, 13 April 2014 (GMT)

  • This image has been sitting for some time with extensive UI elements due to it being stitched together from in-game screenshots; as the note on the image says, it would be much better if a Creation Kit-generated image could replace it. -- GodRaineTalk 03:15, 8 August 2013 (GMT)

Article: Skyrim:Illusion

  • Similar to my previous request, will Illusion perks such as Aspect of Terror increase the maximum level that Illusion effect poisons (Fear and Frenzy) are able to work? Also, will Master of the Mind allow Fear and Frenzy poisons to work on additional enemy types? --AN|L (talk) 17:01, 15 August 2013 (GMT)

Articles: Oblivion:Main Quest

  • The exact prerequisites for each quest. Two have come under scrutiny and may be listed wrong, so checking them all wouldn't do any harm. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:18, 4 September 2013 (GMT)
For reference, a discussion regarding this is in place here with the information from other related talk pages linked/copied as well. — ABCface 13:46, 5 September 2013 (GMT)

Article: Skyrim:Combat

  • Please see the discussion on the talk page. There seems to be some incorrect info in the article about one-handed attack speed. Can somebody please check the game data to see if there is any programmed difference in attack speed for the off hand (left) versus the main hand (right)? --Xyzzy Talk 21:44, 26 October 2013 (GMT)
