Killed the Orc[edit]

So, for anyone who can help. I killed the orc who forges the blade a LONG time ago aaaa....nd, do ya see where I'm going here? Is there anyway to either have someone else forge it or just move on the next quest? — Unsigned comment by 209.183.34.46 (talk) at 03:04 on 24 February 2008 (UTC)

supposed bug, unlikely[edit]

Moved from main text: There is actually a glitch, present in all versions of the game, that does not properly recognize you donating your chosen items. Instead of the usual two, you'll need to donate three items.

Unlikely, in Xbox GTOY it's two items. I found no reference of this supposed bug anywhere while doing an internet search.--BenouldTC 04:36, 2 May 2008 (EDT)
Link Proof (As much as you can get on the Internet, I mean) that this glitch is present. The glitch affected me, and this is on Xbox GOTY. It's small and a minor annoyance, but it is present occasionally. — Unsigned comment by Ruiner87 (talkcontribs)
It was three for me. XBox GOTY. ComaDivine 07:40, 3 May 2009 (EDT)
Using Xbox GOTY it only required me to donate 2 items... I don't suppose it's occurred to anyone that it might be a gold piece value requirement?--Xone01 14:12, 2 June 2009 (EDT)

Museum Cheat[edit]

I cant get the museum cheat (to remove the items I've sold to the museum) as shown to work. The console can't seem to find Torasa. Can someone check the exact syntax for the command? Aelina 10:06, 17 August 2008 (EDT)

Try again now. I've corrected the details of the cheat - they were completely wrong before. –RpehTCE 11:34, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
That did the trick - thanks! Aelina 12:32, 17 August 2008 (EDT)

Karrod[edit]

In the "Searching for the Pieces" section it says you need to complete the "An Assassination Attempt" quest but I just dueled with him and the next day he gave me the blade. I never began or completed the "An Assassination Attempt" quest. --91.156.53.237 17:31, 10 November 2008 (EST)

The only requirement in the scripts is that stage 80+ is reached in the "Helseth's Champion" quest (the duel). But I didn't think there was any way to get that quest unless AAA was completed first. –RpehTCE 13:29, 16 December 2008 (EST)
No, I'm wrong. Barenziah will give you the topic "Karrod", which will let you speak to Helseth about him to begin the "Helseth's Champion" quest. I've updated the article... now to do the quest map. –RpehTCE 05:04, 22 December 2008 (EST)
The info didn't reflect what you found back in 2008 (or someone changed it since), and was inaccurate and confusing (considering the "optional" status of the quest). I've edited it in the section that was wrong, and moved the "note" regarding it up so that the whole thing is coherent and makes sense, and frankly where its most useful. I suppose someone might want to put it all down in notes section for consistency, though.

Possible Bug[edit]

Now this has not happened to me, but it stands to reason; what happens if you have already sold every artifact possible to Torasa Arman. It is not to unlikely because many players are collectors of artifacs. How would you complete the Tribunal Quest? This seems like a logical way to break the quest.--Zar Pof17:22, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

That possibility is already noted on the article. The only way around it is by use of console commands. --Legoless 17:52, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Potential gamebreaker[edit]

Just as a note, enchanting the reforged (unenchanted) Trueflame with either an enchanter or the enchant skill before you take it to Radac will make you unable to get the finished sword and finish the quest. Why anyone would do this is a mystery, but the possibility is there nonetheless. — Unsigned comment by 216.67.115.150 (talk) at 10:01 on 5 February 2012

The Blade of Nerevar: Bug[edit]

I fought Karrod, however, I didn't receive any piece of the blade...can someone help me?

Thank you. — Unsigned comment by 93.108.143.126 (talk) at 21:25 on 15 February 2013

Trueflame[edit]

to me it seems like a bug that trueflame is 1.00 speed when entchanted and 1.35 speed when unentchanted. since its hopesfires TWIN and hopesfire has 1.35 speed even tough its entchanted seems like a oversight by the developers. its also the main reason why hopesfire > trueflame in fact. not only the shock damage is better but because of this speed loss the unentchanted trueflame is actually stronger in terms of dps than the entchanted one which makes no sense at all. the main strength of both these weapons is thier extremely high MINIMAL damage on slash. hopesfire in fact has the highest min damage (melee! not magic wise) of ALL weapons in the entire game incl. addons. this is why these weapons profit of high speed the most in terms of dps value. and its the sole reason why trueflame sucks once you get hopesfire which is well just plain silly. think the developers forgot to adjust the speed on the finished trueflame since its a different item in the cs. — Unsigned comment by 77.185.95.58 (talk) at 14:00 on 17 September 2013 (UTC)

Two donations requiring three[edit]

Much like other people have reported here, I also have run into the issue on the Xbox GOTYE where she required the donation of three items rather than just two. Specifically, I donated the Mace of Slurring and the Robe of the Lich and she still asked for compensation, so I then donated the Fang of Haynekhtnamet and she gave me the shield. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 22:39, 24 August 2016 (UTC)

It happened to me too, so I'm going to update the page with this information. --Giant Lizard (talk) 17:44, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

Add chapter about Norenen-dur in the detailed Walkthrough[edit]

I think the detailed walkthrough would be better if there was also a part about the Norenen-dur dungeon. I feel like that part has been done quickly, compared to the rest of the walkthrough. It just says to go there, take the item needed and go back. That's more of a quick walkthrough. The dungeon is quite big and maybe it deserves a better explanation. I think it needs some improvement. I wanted to do it but I don't know if this is just my opinion or not. --Giant Lizard (talk) 00:21, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

You don't *have* to donate items to get the shield[edit]

You can also just bribe her deposition up, and she'll also give you the shield. She thanks you for the significant contributions that you've made so far and just hands it to you. You don't have to donate anything. — Unsigned comment by 73.86.119.111 (talk) at 21:01 on 18 October 2020 (UTC)

Are you running with mods? I've taken a look at the vanilla dialogue in the Construction Set and there's only one dialogue line (under the topic compensation) which will result in her giving you the Dwemer Battle Shield, and that line specifically requires two donations (Global MuseumDonations >= 2). Her disposition is irrelevant for the entire topic (and for all of her unique dialogue as far as I can see). There's no way I can see for you to (legitimately) get the shield without donating two items in the vanilla game. — Wolfborn(Howl) 23:11, 18 October 2020 (UTC)

Bug[edit]

I finished "Investigate Bamz-Amschend" (reported to King's guard) then finished both "An Assassination Attempt" and "Helseth's Champion". Natural is I should be asked by Crazy bi.... Wise Goddess to go and take care of weather, but instead she welcomed me with phase "Greetings, my dearest servant. You were to forge the blade of Nerevar once again." and no matter what I do she have no option to talk about missing hand or end of time sect...

I have no idea what coused this bug, maybe it's because I talked with Orc Smitch or because I sold few artifacts to Museum and game think I started blade of nerevar quest? but it's silly, any idea how to fix it?--87.207.108.197 09:05, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
