saw this on reddit anyone think it makes enough sense to go on here? — Unsigned comment by 99.103.217.223 (talk) at 06:12 on 22 December 2011

Absolutely not. 68.49.176.245 10:53, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm a bit late but I feel I should clarify for the sake of anyone coming in a bit later.
The whole bug jar thing is quite interesting, and theories like this do make a lot of sense when laid out to you like that. But that's exactly what it is, a theory. No matter how much you might believe something, it still hasn't been verified. Seeing as the bugs are just as likely to have been randomly positioned as they are to be part of some larger conspiracy, and Bethesda has said nothing on the subject, it can't be included.

No Steel Ingots[edit]

When I came to the Weynon Stones area I looked it up on the wiki to see what it was for. It says there are suppose to be two steel ingots near the alter along with steel gauntlets and a broken axe. Well I looked all over the place and couldn't find any ingots of any kind, and the gauntlets that were there were iron, not steel. So either the info on this page is wrong or my game is just unique and decided to put different gauntlets there and no ingots. I'd change it myself but I prefer someone else look at this first. 71.171.112.74 19:41, 20 July 2013 (GMT)

The ingots were there for me (steel), but the gauntlets were iron. I'll revise the article for now, and wait for someone to verify the info in game data. — ABCface 06:04, 21 July 2013 (GMT)

Okay interesting note, when I went back to Weynon much later trying to hunt for Ice Wraiths, the Steel Ingots were there now. The gauntlets are still iron though. No idea why the Ingots weren't there the first time. 71.171.112.74 05:33, 12 September 2013 (GMT)
I checked in the CK, and the gauntlets are always iron, just as the ingots area always steel. The information about the gauntlets being steel was added only ten days after the game was released, so in the chaos occurring on the wiki during that time, it was just never checked by anyone. I'm surprised it took so long for it to be addressed, but at least now we have the correct information documented. — ABCface 21:58, 15 September 2013 (GMT)

How do you "Clear" this?[edit]

I have killed the two ice wraiths, looted the burial urn and the novice chest, activated the Shrine to Talos, picked up the steel ingots and iron gauntlets, and gathered all of the snowberry ingredients, but the "cleared" tag doesn't show up on the map. It is listed in the category: Skyrim-Places-Clearable. What needs to be done to clear it; is this somehow bugged? Kalevala (talk) 04:20, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Oddly, to clear it you leave the area after killing the wraiths. The da-ba-doommmm sounds and the map updates with "Cleared". Kalevala (talk) 17:29, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
