Can he be saved?

I experienced a glitch where he lives (kind of). I got to the crypt and saw him fighting a vampire and a hound- which I helped him kill- and then he stood there. When I tried to talk to him, he replied with the same dialogue and options as he did back at the fort, and wouldn't move from his spot. I dismissed it as a glitch where he just wouldn't follow me in further but then I take a few steps and see his dead body. Not sure how it happened but he's technically still alive? For reasons unknown he can survive that encounter and kill them all by himself. Thing is though it's not really him, but a duplicate. His "real" dead body will be laying where it's supposed to be, but the clone will kill everyone in there. To fix this, reload a save before entering the cave. However, his clone still appeared by at Dawnguard castle after Bloodlines is completed, in my game.. --Rasikko (talk) 12:37, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

I think this should be noted on the page as I couldn't get him to do anything in the cave and then he's randomly walking around Dawnguard Castle with him not saying anything about what happened at the crypt. Bug Dialogue

I've experienced a bug on PS4 (before Anniversary Edition) that led to him having three copies: one dead in Dimhollow, one alive in Dimhollow, and one in Fort Dawnguard. He never had any substantial dialogue until Bolstering the Ranks, where he actually had unique lines about Florentius. I haven't been able to repeat this and the save is gone, but Rasikko appeared to experience the same bug above. His dialogue is included on this website and is 100% accurate and obtainable in game if this bug occurs, but nothing else. I don't know how to format dialogue or bugs so y'all can try and put it in if you think it is a worthwhile edition. Mindtrait0r (talk) 03:03, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
