Repeated Spawning

Is anyone getting this guy spawning repeatedly? There's about 8 dead ones lying around Riften and and at one stage 3 livings running around inside the scorched hammer... 58.166.140.95 05:10, 17 March 2013 (GMT)

Essential Thief in Riften?

After recently installing v1.9 on the pc and starting a new character, as soon as I finished A Chance Arrangement, I found a thief in riften that would just keep getting up after being defeated (screenshot of him on bleedout state). Tried checking on the console, and he is indeed essential. Anyone else having this issue?

I just reloaded and avoided getting to riften during nighttime for a while, but if it happens again, does anyone know a fix for this? I tried using setessential 00023EE8 0 (the base id listed on this page) on him, but it didn't work. --179.162.9.228 05:35, 6 April 2013 (GMT)

While the console is open, click on him to get his RefID, then use setessential with the code displayed to get rid of his essential status. Either that or just ignore him and leave town if you can. You could also try disable and markfordelete on him. --Xyzzy ^Talk 21:55, 7 April 2013 (GMT)
