Enchant[edit]

Is it possible via console to Enchant the Strange Amulet? I refused Calixto's offer in hopes of being able to add an enchantment to such a cool looking necklace, but it doesn't seem to be able to. — Unsigned comment by 24.68.197.210 (talk) at 21:01 on 1 April 2012

No, its a quest item. If you don't have a save before that point you're stuck with it. The Silencer has spoken 21:04, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
For me, it's not a quest item any more in my game I started with the Official 1.5 Beta Patch. Probably fixed. A Guest ^^ — Unsigned comment by 93.192.237.27 (talk) at 09:03 on 22 April 2012
YES, it's possible. I just did it. Previous comments are not true. — Unsigned comment by 213.21.33.5 (talk) on 02:06 26 July 2017 UTC

Eight-sided?[edit]

I know Wuunferth describes it this way, but it's clearly not. It's roughly round, or if you look at the polygons, it has far more than 8 sides. (Hard to count from the picture, but you can see at least 12 for sure.) Anyhow, minor thing, but it does seem like a little but of a screw-up. TheRealLurlock (talk) 13:42, 12 January 2013 (GMT)

Calixto know's it is the Necromancer's Amulet[edit]

He uses it for Necromancy in the quest he is involved in and only tells you it is a wheelstone so that he can buy it back from you. He uses it for necromancy he knows what it really is.--69.136.59.17 00:49, 12 August 2013 (GMT)

Just for record I can get behind the fix for it.--69.136.59.17 00:52, 12 August 2013 (GMT)

Mod Bug or Game Bug Not Sure[edit]

Something is adding the Necromancer's amulet to every spouse I have in my game. Now since I'm using the multi-marriage mod I guess that might be doing it. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this issue. Tiger8u2 (talk) 12:50, 11 October 2014 (GMT)

Arivanya Windhelm Stables[edit]

I had the strange amulet stuck in my inventory and was able to get rid of it by pickpocketing and placing it on Arivanya. Xbox 360. It only seemed to work on her for some reason and only with the amulet.

Just wanted to confirm that this worked for me as well on the Xbox 360.--Sotalia (talk) 08:24, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Xbox One Skyrim SE pickpocket recommended skill level, etc, so that success is better than 50% or so?[edit]

When I tried to pickpocket the amulet back from Calixto, it said that I had 0% chances of doing it. I adjusted sneak equipment and pickpocket equipment and achieved a maximum chance of 2% success at pick pocket skill 39 and one eighth level with 1 perk on light fingers and 1 perk on night thief and shoes+ring+necklace at 35 points each bonus pickpocket skill.

When all three equipment were equipped, the chances were 0%, but removing one or two of these resulted in the maximum 2% chance value. I reloaded the game from a save just before entering his house and instead got more training and pickpocked more of the town's people to increase my levels, but I do not know what my target skill level should be?

I am contemplating enchanting a very high valued equipment for pickpocket so that there shall be no integer overflow beyond 100% that causes some kind of strange modulo arithmetic wrap around of the pickpocket points?

On other play throughs of the game I had a full pickpocket skill tree of perks so was usually able to easily pickpocket him of the amulet due to 100 pickpocket skill level and all the perk tree loaded up. 198.91.176.251 09:52, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
