Fjola's return[edit]

If you complete the quest in Fjola's way, she promises to return some day and help you. Does she actually return at some point? --Killfetzer 21:45, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

No. --VergilSparda 17:48, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
Not that I've seen. DLC maybe? --68.106.248.223 22:18, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, as another anon has said, it appears to be one of many loose ends that Bethesda forgot to tie off. 58.170.240.216 14:27, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
Her words aren't completely hollow. Her gang - that is, all the residents of Mistwatch - will become permanently non-hostile if you help her. If they survive...but they do respawn, still friendly! 86.138.127.90 17:13, 19 March 2013 (GMT)

Another bug[edit]

I decided to kill the wife and I told her so. She attacked me, i killed her and looted the ring from her. The quest updated to return to Christer and the quest marker moved above his head. But when i try to activate dialogue with him he does not open an active dialogue and i cannot proceed in the quest. Moreover, when i used the console to setstage 100 Christer walked out, but the journal entry still stated "return to Christer" --122.106.15.149 11:35, 15 June 2012 (UTC) I chose to keep her alive and lie to Christer and I got the same thing.--YetiWithFlamethrower 11:27, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Fjola's Wedding Band Bug[edit]

I found Fjola's wedding band being sold by Mad'ran and purchased it. Not sure yet if that will disrupt the quest. — Unsigned comment by 60.242.181.213 (talk) at 17:15 on 19 June 2012

An oversight[edit]

I think I found an oversight of developers. I managed to complete this quest "from the middle". Searching a courier carrying an item for Arniel Gane, I found a trapdoor and a door to the tower in which Fjala lived. I opened the trapdoor (Master level lock), obtained this way the key to Mistwatch (I have the Wax Key perk), and the same key I used to open the door to Fjala's tower (you cannot pick the lock). She began the conversation and I could only tell her I was looking for her, although I didn't meet her husband, so I didn't know about her.

I suppose there should be another key to the final tower, it would solve this.

Fjola follows (or not) at quest conclusion?[edit]

The quest page indicates Fjola will follow the player back into North Mistwatch Tower so she is nearby after sending Christer on his way. She did not do this for me; I had to traverse all the way back to her spot in the East Tower to talk to her and complete the quest. Is this text accurate at all, or perhaps only under certain circumstances? --72.88.199.175 18:49, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

>> Confirmed:Fjola followed me right back to the spiral staircase next to Christer. <<

She did follow me downstairs, but she didn't stay there for very long. I talked to Christer, he left, I got the "talk to Fjola again" task, and the marker for her was a normal arrow. I think I then looted the room that Christer was standing in. I also heard her give one of the "dead buddy" lines ("whoever did this will pay" or similar) when she found one of the bandits I had killed nearby on my way up. I started to walk towards the marker for her, but it started moving, and then turned into the arrow-doorway marker. I had to go all the way back up to the top to talk to her and finish the quest. 73.3.56.178 05:02, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

Bugged[edit]

Found mistwatch, walked in and found the guy who told me about it, thing is, a bandit ran in and killed him after I accepted the quest, I got to the end and Fjola wasn't there, just a female bandit leader, so I killed her, and now the quest is unfinished. I tried resurrecting the guy but he just got up and ran to the exit and disappeared.

Fjola is the bandit leader, and her name is not displayed as "Fjola", it is displayed as "bandit leader". Hope that helped. 96.228.80.73 15:03, 2 April 2013 (GMT)

Differently bugged, managed to finish it with console.[edit]

After finding Christler and hearing about Fjola, I went upstairs, killed the bandit leader (Fjola) and looted her wedding ring. Then returned to Christler and he was outraged and started hitting me after I used my only option at that time, telling him I killed her. I readied my bow, then put it away again, and he said "I knew you didn't have the stomach" then he started the dialog again, now giving me 3 options. So I told him that she was dead but I found "this" (weddingband). Now he started sobbing, let me keep the ring and moved off, but the quest updated to me having to talk to Fjola.

Weird enough, her corpse had moved to right behind the door, still very much dead though. Talking to her was ofcourse no option, but a setstage with 100 finished the quest and took it out of the list. 178.84.120.167 19:24, 18 September 2013 (GMT)

Quest not start[edit]

I found Christer but he only say "Yes?". How can I start the quest? — Unsigned comment by 195.245.209.30 (talk) at 06:15 on 10 June 2015 (GMT)

Another apparent bug[edit]

If you run down the stairs with a bandit following you who meets and kills Crister, it will be impossible to tell him about his wife and complete the quest. The quest apparently does not complete when he dies this way. --Grimbold (talk) 04:43, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Just a confirmation[edit]

Same issue as above, a bandit searching for me found Christer and murderized him, the bandit leader tried to murderize me, I have a ring, no Christer, no Fjola, and a marker that points to the keep door near Christer's hideaway if I'm either outside or inside the keep.

Still not as bad a marriage as the plantation quest in AE, but marriage counseling is a good thing. 134.215.54.133 21:35, 23 January 2022 (UTC)Jonnan

Kidnapping?[edit]

I noticed that "Notes" section has a point saying that we can stop the kidnappings without killing Christer. Either I missed something but can anyone tell me what kidnappings this part refers to?
