Marrying Lynly[edit]

Can you marry this gal? — Unsigned comment by 81.170.134.166 (talk) at 18:32 on 26 November 2011

Misredirect?[edit]

Why redirects from Skyrim:Svidi? What about a misc. quest "Discover Svidi's Whereabouts"? --77.97.42.174 02:40, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

Since Svidi is Lynly's real name, this redirect makes sense, even if it is a bit of a spoiler. Robin Hoodtalk 02:11, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Special Song[edit]

Was anyone able to hear this special song that you can persuade her to play? For me, she picks up the lute and plays absolute silence-- which I suppose could be an actual song but my guess is this is a bug. 75.80.97.155 00:16, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

It's not a special song... it's the same thing she'd normally play. — Unsigned comment by 184.38.32.228 (talk) at 01:36 on 26 March 2012

Lynly's Special Song[edit]

Lynly's song is indeed special: it's one of the two songs that was played in every inn in Elder Scrolls I: Arena. It is a really, really cool easter egg. I only wish those songs had words. Given that Arena is what the denizens of Tamriel call the world when times are bad, such words would probably talk about how the gods are cruel and uncaring so that we should all drink ourselves sick.

That said, I haven't played long enough to find out if other bards play either or both of those special songs.

After telling Sibbi[edit]

Does she die or disappear, or anything? Vicano (talk) 18:47, 12 August 2013 (GMT)

No.— Unsigned comment by 84.108.30.185 (talk) at 08:41 on 8 October 2014

Hair "Bug"[edit]

Sibbi describes her as having hair which is not only black, but also long. In game she appears with short blonde hair. Is it not possible that she was merely trying to conceal her identity as much as possible? In my merged patch I have disabled the change made by USKP (which is only the color). Any thoughts? DivyItUp (talk) 05:25, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

That's exactly why it's in the notes section. It is because we advertise the USKP for bug fixes that their other changes are sometimes added to pages. I simply don't understand the thinking that everything said by a denizen of Skyrim should be true because there cannot be liars, or people with out of date or wrong information, or just simply not being up-to-date with current events (and don't get me started on correcting slang terms or mistakes in books); this being one where a woman on the run isn't allowed to either cut her hair (very basic technique) or dye her hair (hair dying techniques were known to be used in medieval times) despite being having disappeared 'a while' ago. i normally would completely agree w/ that^. a smart person on the run would change their appearance. but since there's absolutely no other stages or prompts for this quest, it seems like she really should have long black hair. if there was just 1 or 2 "leads" to follow to get to her, dialog w/ npc, a notes ect, i'd say the short blond hair makes sense. but in the context of the quest, she should have long dark hair — Unsigned comment by 74.83.94.7 (talk) at 18:57 on 12 September 2019 (UTC)
Well i do not agree with it being a bug, she is hiding for her life, Sibbi tell player that he did killed her brother and also wants to kill her too, Sibbi is son of Maven so he can have "long reaching hands" of influence. So i am surprised she didn't seek the face sculptor (tho her coin may not be enough for that) or didn't hide in orc stronghold in the Reach. If there was more leads then Sibbi could have already turned her into worm food Ciberzombie (talk) 23:18, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
Not sure if this is relevant, but in TES Legends, she is depicted with black hair. Zebendal (talk) 00:26, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
*Maybe* she is depicted the way she looked before getting on the bad side with Sibbi? Ciberzombie (talk) 10:52, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
Nope, with Sibbi had long hair. The card has short dark hair. Also clearly a bard, playing a Skyrim-style lute. Therefore, after Sibbi. US*P bug fix matches lore in game and out of game. Although we actually made the change in 2012, while Legends was released in 2017. Prescient.
