Weapon Behind the Waterfall[edit]

The page said there was a max-level weapon behind the waterfall. I've removed the 'max-level' part after finding an Elven Sword at level 37. --Debatra 22:33, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

That's ok, we will probably need to wait for the creation kit to come out before we add things like that anyway. RIM 22:34, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Comment moved from article page[edit]

I found that noting all the symbols and setting all the pillars didn't work, getting a symbol, stopping the rotation and setting the appropriate pillar until they were all set did work. — Unsigned comment by DavGv (talkcontribs) at 16:12 on 26 Apr 2012

Problem with the dragon claw door.[edit]

So I got the Sapphire Dragon Claw from Wyndelius and went down to the puzzle door, put in the combination on the claw (and every other combination possible after that) and the only thing that happens is the darts shooting out at me. Even at that, not all of the darts are working either, I noticed that the darts directly above and the one to the right aren't shooting. I thought it was kinda weird when the only darts firing weren't even aimed at me. Does anyone know how to fix this? (The getting through the door thing, I don't really care about the dart thing).173.190.149.9 00:39, 3 November 2012 (GMT)

I added a bugs section with a link to the solution, it has happened in many other locations with the doors, hope that helps. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 00:47, 3 November 2012 (GMT)

Thanks a lot! I'm gonna go try them out now! I hate that I spent $30 on a strategy guide and it turned out useless in this situation, lol. RadN3X (talk) 01:03, 3 November 2012 (GMT)

Stuck with Sapphire Claw[edit]

Anyone else stuck with this claw as a quest item? This is probably the 2nd claw I received in the game, and I've long since cleared the Barrow, yet I still have this particular claw as a quest item, and I'm at lvl 59 with most questlines completed. Of course, I have several other "quest" items I can't drop due to various known bugs, but this is the only one I don't know WHY I can't drop. ~FiveCentFather (Ken N.) I got stuck with the claw as well. I cleared the Barrow, the map said "cleared", and I got the word of Kyne's Peace, but the claw was still a quest item and undropable. What fixed it for me was going back to the Barrow after it had respawned and running through all of it again; after I cleared it the second time, the claw was no longer marked as a quest item, and I could drop it. Interestingly, on my re-visit, *most* of the puzzles had reset, including the early 4-lever puzzle to open the portculli, and the 4-pillar puzzle to lower the bridge. However, the dragon claw door had *not* reset - it was still recessed into the floor, and I didn't have to use the claw to open it again. I realize OP probably isn't checking back 7 years later, but I figured I'd document it anyway. :) 73.3.56.178 09:52, 3 July 2020 (UTC)

Wyndelius's body note[edit]

After turning in his journal and clearing the remainder of the barrow, I returned 38 days later. His body was gone, but the rest of the barrow was reset. It was not possible to get a second copy of his journal nor to get another bottle of Philter of the Phantom.

"If the barrow is left alone for long enough for a reset, Wyndelius's body will remain dead while resplenishing a new bottle of Philter of the Phantom."

Perhaps this might work if the original journal is not turned in, the claw not obtained in trade and the barrow not subsequently cleared, but the note needs to say that, if it is a necessary condition for it to be true.

I propose removing the note if there is no in-game verification of the circumstances under which it is true. Kalevala (talk) 23:10, 2 April 2013 (GMT)
