Provoking instead of sneaking[edit]

The description says to sneak past the guards... I'm assuming this is referring to the crew members... but all they'll do is say "you're not supposed to be here" and then leave you alone. If you talk to safia, and say "I represent the Dark Brotherhood", she'll cut you off and initiate combat, which allows you to kill her innocently, since she attacks you first. Her crew will not defend her so long as she initiates combat. — Unsigned comment by 136.165.193.175 (talk) at 15:18 on 18 November 2011

A Watery Grave[edit]

This quest is clearly a callback to the first brotherhood contract in Oblivion (A_Watery_Grave). Should this be mentioned on the page's notes? Starbucksisevil 18:00, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

No idea, but it's a pretty awful nod to that quest, as pretty much every Dark Brotherhood quest in Oblivion was better than Skyrim's! No real options on how to complete (talk to her and kill her, or kill her while hidden), and there's only one way on to the boat. Ehm, what I mean really is I suppose it's worth mentioning that it seems to be a nod toward that quest, but it's otherwise dissimilar. Haravikk 14:59, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
It's already here; these things don't go on individual pages. --Velyanthe 21:49, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Essential Crew[edit]

Any idea why the crew are essential? This quest is pretty terrible as a result, and there's no reason for them to be essential that I can see as the one that's also involved in the special job for Solitude isn't actually necessary to the quest at all (unless you enjoy spending money). Really manages to make the final contract a huge letdown, even killing Narfi involves more proper assassination. -- Haravikk (talk) 22:30, 23 November 2012 (GMT)

Trespassing[edit]

  • Followers inside the Red Wave will repeat trespassing dialog like the crew.
    • On PC To get around the bug, use the Console command: setcellownership solituderedwave.

Followers know when you are trespassing, so them saying that is obviously not a bug. Moved from the article as people may be interested in being able to travel freely on the ship. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:37, 22 June 2013 (GMT)
