Revision 84625 6 Jan 2012[edit]

I made several revisions to this page at this early stage. But am not particularly in love with them. I will watch this page in case any future reviewer wants to discuss any of the changes I made. Trying to figure out a reasonable balance between advice I see on the wiki about "being bold" in editing, with suggestions that it can be good to flag issues for discussions on talk pages before just revising others' work. So, I guess by making some changes and also leaving this note, I'm trying to do some of both. Some of the changes I made are subjective, and some of probably don't match some established standards. If anyone has the inclination to provide me with any tips, I will learn from them. Or trading opinions, even about little things, I generally enjoy.

I visited both the orphanage and the Aretino Residence at several time periods after completing Innocence Lost, from quite soon after until quite long after. The little girl at the orphanage sometimes specifically asks you to adopt her, but there appears to be no mechanism for doing so. One of the boys wishes that he would be adopted. Another boy comments that "it's too bad" the orphanage doesn't allow them to be adopted. Aventus remains in his Windhelm home, stating that he wishes to become an assassin someday, "like you." After the NPCs there talk with you a bit, they will invariably begin making comments that suggest you are not welcome, "shouldn't be there," or wonder "what a person like you is doing in a place like this." And that's a pretty good point: What am I doing here? .... I guess mainly trying to learn a bit more about developing good place pages. --Jreynolds2Talk 07:44, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Room[edit]

There is a room with some shackles in it in the orphanage.Should this be added to the article?--Skyrimplayer 15:52, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

Yep. I found the 'torture room' quite amusing when I first visited the orphanage, and it should definitely be included in the article. It hasn't really been fleshed out yet, so feel free to add whatever detail you think should be included as appropriate for a place page. :) -ABCface 17:41, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
Ok.I'll do that.'-'--Skyrimplayer 17:53, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
It's done.^-^--Skyrimplayer 17:59, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

Childrens' Chest[edit]

There are no objects in the children's chest.

Moved the above from this edit to the article page (14:38, 10 February 2013‎ by 90.197.110.131) significance? --JR (talk) 18:46, 10 February 2013 (GMT)

Can someone from the SHRP check this one[edit]

Can someone from the SHRP team check this one for me and confirm whether too much info/wrong info, etc and give me their comments before I go on a house hunt.... cheers Biffa (talk) 23:20, 15 October 2013 (GMT)

Hiya Biffa! Great job on your SHRP writeup! You did a great job adding info, including the right type of info and the right amount. I went ahead and made some minor layout and grammar/wording tweaks, but overall it looks great. Someone will come along and do a proper CK check eventually as part of the project (it might even be me, when I have more time) but it looks good for now. If you want some examples of how a completed SHRP page should look, feel free to check out the pages in this category, as they have gone through both the in-game writing and CK checking stages of the project already. (Don't worry about adding respawn info yourself since you don't have the CK to check that, I'm just giving you the link so you can see some good examples.) Also, the project page has specific details on formatting and what information should be provided, if ya haven't read that yet. As always, feel free to ask if you have any more questions. And keep up the great work. :) — ABCface 04:22, 16 October 2013 (GMT)
Cheers for your comments, I had read the SHRP guidelines, but just wanted to confirm I had the right idea before plowing ahead and doing more houses in this manner. Biffa (talk) 12:37, 16 October 2013 (GMT)

Just some fyi[edit]

If you enter for the first time through the door in the fenced off area, you will not hear any talking until you reach the other door. I used whirlwind sprint to go on top of the schorched hammer. Then again onto honorhall. I0brendan0 (talk) 02:15, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Third in line?[edit]

Who takes over the orphanage if Constance Michel is killed? — Unsigned comment by 65.185.145.37 (talk) at 15:44 on 29 March 2015 (UTC)

the skill book located here is mislabeled.[edit]

"purloined shadows" is actually a pickpocket skill book. i would change it myself but i don't know how to do a linked word.
