Treasure Map I removed[edit]

I don't know why, but when I enter Vokun's Throne Room, my 'Treasure Map I', the one regarding a treasure near Riverwood, gets removed from my inventory, as is shown in the upper left corner of the screen. I reloaded before entering, and it happened again. Just wanted to let you know ~ Dwarfmp 20:29, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Puzzle or non puzzle[edit]

The throne room contains 3/4 of what would be a puzzle clue anywhere else. It's 3 snake plates with a missing 4th high up on the walls to your left and right whichever way you've walked in. I'm past the point of spending much time on something that may or may not be, specially after clearing the 2 quests I had in there, but did anyone else figure any more out there? Bug resolution verification needed[edit]

For simplicity and ease of reading I've reworded the second resolution to the bug caused during Fetch me that Book! by having already killed Vokun, and also removed the Xbox tag since it appears applicable to all platforms. However, I've tried climbing the pile of rubble mentioned and simply cannot gain the ledge. Therefore I can't be sure that this solution is actually possible. --Reka 10:03, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure which pile of rubble is meant there, but there's indeed a ruined doorway, accessible after two whirlwind spirit jumps, and which is blocked by rubble. The rubble has a big gap so it seems to be usable, but I could not go through it by any means. This indeed leads to the antechamber, but I can not confirm this to be usable. — Unsigned comment by 85.66.211.226 (talk) at 12:39 on 12 February 2012
Just confirmed as usable, by climbing to the same height as the doorway and using a whirlwind sprint. Then waited (not the in game function, but actually allowing time to pass) for a few minutes, and it worked like a charm. This is kind of a cheat, but since this is impossible without cheating, I'm not too concerned about it. — Unsigned comment by 72.200.122.5 (talk) at 21:41 on 13 February 2012
Confirmed this as usable as well on PS3. I'm removing the citation needed tag as it's been confirmed twice, though it's unclear of the prior contributor's platform. Likewise, I've updated Shalidor's Insights with this very helpful bug workaround. -- 173.36.196.6 17:48, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
I just got past this bug on 3/3/12 on a the 360 with current patches. Going through along the side of the room to the rubble filled doorway as mentioned above did not entirely work. my follower and my dog worked their way into the antechamber and got stuck outside of the range to talk to them. they are visible with detect life(or aura whisper) just around the corner. Furthermore, if they were available, I don't see what I would have the follower do. Now the gate above Anska's head in the very first room of the dungeon IS serviceable. Not only does the follower come straight up to the gate, but there is a chain for them to interact with and the passageway is a gate that responds to the chain, not a rubble filled doorway that will never be able to be serviceable. While I appreciate the help I got from this section, information on this glitch isn't the easiest to come by.. but neither it it very well worded....
Anyone encountering this glitch is encountering it in the 3rd level of the dungeon, in vokun's throne room, at the two non-responsive gates.
The solution is a workaround at the end of the shortcut back to the first level of the dungeon.. No where before me posting was this explicitly mentioned. I spent time looking for a pile of rubble and a rubble filled doorway down in the actual throne room. While given the context of my having succeed, what is written reads very clearly.
but given the context of someone FIRST finding out about this glitch, the context of MOST people seeking help here.. it can be read a few different ways. Consistency of interpretation is needed, objective locations within the world, indicating levels of the dungeon. real amounts of time not "grab a soda and pet the dog" but greater then one minute and less then ten.--98.222.56.230 19:26, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
I've updated the text to more clearly mention which rubble pile the player should use to access the antechamber behind Vokun's Throne Room. Also removed are ambiguities including the timing and method used to "wait". Hopefully this helps others to not have similar issues as the person above. 05:28, 19 March 2012 (UTC) — Unsigned comment by 67.176.61.233 (talk) at 05:31 on 19 March 2012 (UTC)
I confirmed simply climbing the rubble on the left of the balcony to the antichamber and then waiting by the gate works as of 1/17/13. I too tried climbing the rubble pile opposite the balcony (other side of the room) and there is no way to get a perch to sprint from. Climbing what looks like a broken column up to the balcony directly worked. My follower appeared about a minute later on the other side of the gate and was commanded to pull the chain as advertised. I solute whoever devised this method for working around the bug. It must have been purely by chance.— Unsigned comment by Drankinatty (talkcontribs) at 19:38 on 17 January 2013

Most annoying follower ever...[edit]

I found the quest for Anska almost impossible to complete. It takes all the self-restraint that I can muster to keep me from putting an axe in her head. She must be the most annoying follower that exists in the game. She keeps extremely close to me, pushing and shoving me around, just before shouting "Get away from me!". She makes stealth completely impossible, and will charge at any Draugr she sees, activating as much adds and traps on the way as she can. I keep fusrodahing her away from me, but she doesn't get the message. Seems the only way to do that quest without going crazy, is to clear the crypt first, then run back and get her. When it comes to shoving, pushing you into traps, and so on, she's as bad as Barbas (it might be fun to have Barbas as a companion on this quest, just to see who would outshove whom). She also screams "Watch what you are doing" when you kill a draugr, as if she didn't approve of being mean to the poor things. Whoever scripted this one must have been asleep. 174.6.51.17 08:16, 30 December 2012 (GMT)
I sneaked right past her and completed the quest. When you get to the end, she will just turn up then. This has to be the least infuriating way for those of us who hate followers at the best of times! EllaFirebird (talk) 20:44, 28 September 2013 (GMT)

First puzzle room[edit]

The article says;

"A corridor leads past a spiked gate trap to another two-tier room containing four levers. If Anska is with you she will comment on the room being some sort of puzzle. True enough, set into the floor is a stairway behind a gate which is opened by pulling the levers in the correct order. The solution is carved into the rock high up on the south wall of the room: Eagle—Whale—Fox—Snake."

For what it's worth, both times I've been here, I just pulled the snake lever. It opens the floor gate right away. Just saving you some clicks! EllaFirebird (talk) 20:49, 28 September 2013 (GMT)

First Puzzle Room - Reset Bug[edit]

As mentioned on the page, there is a bug in the room with four levers to open the door down. This is on the PC. If you leave the ruins *and* allow 30 days to pass so that the dungeon resets, you will find the door closed and the levers will no longer open them. Obvious work-around is to simply use tcl. Running with unofficial mods, so only noting this in discussion and not editing main page, but I'd be shocked if vanilla doesn't show it. — Unsigned comment by MikeM (talkcontribs) at 17:17 on 13 January 2018 (UTC)
