Inaccurate Page[edit]

"Outward signs of her affliction aren't present and she is routinely seen outside in the day operating the lumber mill." Uh, yeah, except the glowing red eyes? - 70.190.204.123 01:41, 18 August 2013 (GMT)

Dawnguard changes her appearance so that she has the glowing eyes of a vampire. She does not have these in the base game. I've added a note to the page to reflect this. — ABCface 06:01, 20 August 2013 (GMT)

Hert leaves the mill[edit]

I had a strange encounter with Hert just now on the PS4 (with no mods). I was playing a day laborer character (going around looking for ore, chopping wood, picking vegetables, gathering ingredients, avoiding combat and fast travel, etc). I chopped some wood for her at Half-moon Mill, then went northwest looking for ore. Eventually I made my way counter-clockwise around Sunderstone Gorge, back to the north shore of Ilinalta and then made my way up the west bank of the White River until I got to the bridge to Riverwood just a little bit after sundown. I went into Riverwood and checked the time to see if anything was open, it was about 8:30 and everything was closed, so I decided to go out the back way up the mountain. When I ran to the gate, I caught up with Hert just leaving town. I followed her up the hill to the road to Helgen and then from there almost straight back to Half-moon Mill. She died once against a frostbite spider, but I reloaded and kept my distance so I wouldn't aggro any random encounter enemies and she managed to kill all the wolves and skeletons along the way and made it back to the mill by around 5-5:30 am.

I searched for info and only found a handful of people on forums saying they ran into her on the road to Whiterun but without any more details than that. I suspect it's related to her bed belonging to the RiverwoodSvensHouseFaction. She might have tried to go to Sven's house to go to bed and then went back to the mill either when she couldn't get in the door, or because her schedule expects her to start her day at the mill in the morning. I didn't fast travel at all from when I left the mill until I ran into her at Riverwood, so technically she had time to walk it, but I suspect she teleported when I was out of range of the mill. I didn't see her arrive in Riverwood or see what she actually did there since she was leaving as soon as I arrived.

I've never seen this behavior before either on PS4, PS3 or PC, but I wonder if anybody can confirm this happening on other platforms or via the construction set? Is she part of Sven's house faction, is it something to do with them both belonging to the Lumberjack faction, or is there a random bed in Riverwood that belongs to her? I thought it might be something to add to the article if it happens for anybody else, since it is an odd native behavior that isn't documented anywhere else. (I don't know how to use the Construction Set or I'd check myself on my PC) - 98.219.224.139 15:57, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
