Removing Witch Heads[edit]

Has anyone else experienced this bug?

During Blood's Honor, I killed all 5 witches to complete the optional objective, but only one head was required/removed for the quest. Now, these four other witch heads are stuck in my inventory because "you can't remove quest items". I guess I really messed up, because I was able to drop them once, and picked them back up to remove my Lycanthropy (which I can't do for the reason mentioned).

Anybody have any clue as to how to remove these unsightly things? The Lost 17:02, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Interesting. I have a bug related to Glenmoril heads also. Except, I had all 5 heads in my inventory and it took up 20 lbs of weight so I wanted to get rid of them. So, I found a dead silver hand body outside of the building where the companion's live right after the battle they had when I was collecting the heads and I then stored all 5 heads in the Silver Hand's inventory. Next, when I came back, the silver hand was gone and now I have no heads at all to complete the quest where a Glenmoril Head is needed for the cure. I even waited 2 in game months and went back to the Glenmoril cave and the witches didn't respawn. I hope the 1.2 patch fixes this. I am using PS3, by the way. so, maybe my bug can help with your bug. Store them on a dead body instead of trying to drop them. — Unsigned comment by 96.35.62.251 (talk) at 03:30 on 23 November 2011
I was able to get rid of the 4 heads once I had completed the quest afterward. The problem I've got is that Lydia who was my housecarl got dismissed during the quest to get revenge and now I can't find her... — Unsigned comment by 84.92.121.159 (talk) at 23:30 on 17 December 2011

Do their corpses disappear?[edit]

I know that the witches are all unique, and once killed will not respawn. So does this mean that I can safely leave the 4 spare heads on their corpses, then come back and take them whenever I want to? — Unsigned comment by 69.244.23.111 (talk) at 22:30 on 10 December 2011
