Companion's Insight[edit]

in the dragoborn expansion there is a buff gained from a black book which says you weren't able to hurt followers anymore in battle. maybe that should be in the "notes" section too — Unsigned comment by 88.150.13.213 (talk) at 14:42 on 8 February 2013‎

See Skyrim:Powers#Abilities. Changing this may necessitate changes to all similar damage effect pages. Could be a major job. Darictalk 02:02, 8 February 2013 (GMT)
It seemed more prudent to me that this should be mentioned on the Skyrim:Followers page, but others may think it necessary to mention elsewhere as well. Darictalk 02:25, 8 February 2013 (GMT)
I think there are exceptions to that. I have Companion's Insight, and Fire Storm still seems to affect (and sometimes kill) my followers. It might be a good idea to figure out what limitations there are to this ability, because it definitely doesn't seem to prevent ALL friendly-fire damage. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 13:05, 7 March 2013 (GMT)

Spell Location[edit]

The article states that there is a respawnable tome in apocrypha, is this correct? I found a flame thrall tome but no fire storm. Am i just missing it or is this a mistake? 78.144.16.79 10:28, 8 February 2013 (GMT)

Fire Storm damage boosting[edit]

Should it be mentioned that Aspect of Terror, like all other "flame" spells (Accept for Flame Cloak), affects Fire Storm if they have the Intense Flames perk? Fire Storm with Augmented Flames 2/2, Intense Flames and Aspect of Terror did a total of 165 Damage. (Tested on PS3 version 1.8.183.07) Darkblade (talk) 02:23, 7 March 2013 (GMT)

Interaction with Necromage.[edit]

I'm on an Xbox 360 and after getting necromage my firestorm is doing more than double damage on undead. It appears to increase the instant damage by about 1.5-1.75x and gives a massive boost to burn damage and duration.

If you're testing this against vampires, it's probably because they have a weakness to fire. Lyricon (talk) 08:24, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

Do I do something wrong or is this a bug?[edit]

When I use a Fire Storm scroll, everything works as expected, but when I cast the Fire Storm spell on my pure mage character, I get massive damage for myself only and there is no swirling animation. I have all 3 DLCs and all three unofficial patches installed; I also use SKSE. 188.102.41.203
