Nice leveled loot on some of his containers?[edit]

I'm level 19, broke into his house and found that most all of his stuff isn't owned, free for the taking... However, I opened the chest by his bed and found to my surprise, an Elven Mace (the second ever piece of Elven gear I've found, the first one being a pair of gauntlets) which was an upgrade to the weapon I was wearing at the time. Curiously, the mace was flagged as owned, but none of the other (junk) stuff in the chest was. The chest in his basement also had some unowned junk, along with a Frost Bear Pelt which was marked as owned. Is this normal in people's houses? I must confess I haven't played a lot.--Coxis 16:35, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

When you have completed a quest for someone items generally under 50gold are free to take from their homes and business. Elven armour should start appearing as high level loot from level 12. The Silencer has spoken 16:53, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Any safe chests for storage?[edit]

I've cleared the mine and befriended Filnjar. Does anyone know of any safe chests or barrels in his home? Looking for a temporary bank for equipment. — Unsigned comment by 97.104.17.165 (talk) at 01:25 on 8 June 2012

This location respawns after 10 days, as noted on the article. A list of container-types which are always safe, no matter their location, can be found in this section of the page on Containers. Notably, any container labeled "end table", "dresser", or "wardrobe" is safe, which I'm assuming Filnjar's house has at least one of. (Containers labeled "chest" cannot generally be assumed as safe.) Also, a list of locations which never respawn can be found here, and all storage on the inside-areas of these locations is safe for long-time storage. ABCface 02:10, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
