After the dragon bugged out, I got him to work again by going through South Cold Rock Pass and coming out the other side.

Cow corpse = non-respawning safe container[edit]

The dead cow at the base of the word wall stairs (impossible to miss) I believe does not respawn. I always put useless/unwanted items in corpses so that the items will be successfully removed from the game, not taking up any precious cache space. I dropped some stuff in this cow corpse so I could move after taking the dragons bone and scales and being over-encumbered. Later, when I came back a new dragon was there but the same old cow corpse with the same stuff I had dropped in it. Maybe a bit impractical unless you want to fight a dragon every time you need to store some stuff. Ghost Host 18:02, 11 December 2011 (UTC)

An anonymous user removed this message on the grounds it was "incorrect info". I don't know whether that's true or not, just thought it worth mentioning. Minor Edits 00:29, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

eldersblood peak cow[edit]

ok, so I have killed the dragon before the dragons return and i got the dragons contents ie.. bones, scales etc. however i did not capture the dragon soul nor did the word wall activate. But, i have a cow following me around now. What is up with that?

Frost Trolls[edit]

I had to fight 4 frost trolls instead of the three mentioned on the page. This is before the dragons appear.
