Werewolf in the Dawnguard[edit]

Apparently, Isran has no problems letting a werewolf into the Dawnguard. — Unsigned comment by 66.223.225.31 (talk) at 21:21 on 2 January 2013

I think it's more accurate to say he doesn't check for it, like he checks for vampirism. I tested just now and the Dawnguard leaders become hostile and you get a bounty in The Rift if you transform in front of them. --97.73.64.147 18:58, 26 January 2013 (GMT)

Crossbow availability[edit]

Can you still craft crossbows and bolts if you decide to join the vampires?(Lordofmagicvoldemort (talk) 10:16, 13 January 2013 (GMT)) P{

If you side with Harkon, you can only acquire the base Crossbow and Steel & Dwarven Bolts. Any crossbow other than the default one can only be acquired by siding with the Dawnguard (see Ancient Technology for details).
Crafting crossbows and bolts is only possible at Gunmar's forge in Fort Dawnguard, and only if you side with the Dawnguard. — ABCface 05:52, 15 January 2013 (GMT)

Is there a mod where I can stay in the dawnguard as a vampire lord?[edit]

I know it sounds silly, and breaks immersion. But is there is one? — Unsigned comment by 36.227.76.192 (talk) at 08:35 on 16 March 2013

"resuming the quest after cure"?[edit]

"Furthermore, you will be unable to continue the questline if you become a vampire, but can resume after you cure your vampirism." This resumption assumption is not quite accurate. If for example you complete the quest line as a Volkihar vampire and kill Harkon, you can take the cure but cannot resume the quest - it's over. In fact, when the quest is done the cure script fails to set the downloadable content vampire faction to -1, so the Dawnguard members will attack you if you show up at their fort, even though you are no longer a vampire. I don't know how Falion's cure script works while the the quest is active, but I have trouble imagining where in the questline the resumption would pick up if there had been progress as a vampire. Kalevala (talk) 06:55, 26 November 2014 (GMT)

I misunderstood this sentence. The author did not intend to suggest that the player cured their Volikhar vampirism during the quest. The cure script doesn't set the Volikhar vampire faction to -1 causing problems, so I added "ordinary". Kalevala (talk) 07:09, 26 November 2014 (GMT)
