Scripted Drops?[edit]

I am wondering if there are any scripted drops or locations of weapons with the banish enchantment on them? --DGTexan 03:53, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

I haven't found any but the fletcher in solitude seems to have them more than most other merchants, I updated the notes sections with a few tips to make it easier to find these items — Unsigned comment by 142.205.241.254 (talk) at 15:24 on December 28, 2011

min. lvl for banish weapons to appear in shops[edit]

Does anyone know the exact minimum level required? In my case it was lvl 22 -- adrenalynn 16:49, 31 December 2011

I did not get it until level 44, although i checked each merchant since level 20 for it. After doing the Mehruhes Dagon quest involving Daedra all the merchants started having it. i suspect there is a connection.-- — Unsigned comment by 213.239.210.117 (talk) at 11:53 on January 20, 2012
It appears in merchant's lists when your skill in conjuration reaches a certain level. For me it was around lvl 40-45 but I wasn't checking every level for it.RIM 11:59, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
I got it at level 24 with conjuration skill of 15, I don't think it's linked. Masterlocksmith 12:06, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

Enchantment Value[edit]

I'm getting only in the 180's with a petty iron dagger, while absorb health is getting almost 600... Am I missing something? ==98.202.17.102 00:25, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

In short, yes. I'm assuming that your enchanting skill is quite low (probably below 50) or this wouldn't be a problem, but you will need to manually change the enchantment power for the petty soul level. To do this select the dagger first, then select your soul gem, then select the enchantment and move the slider all the way to the right. Normally this would be the default position, but the petty soul gem is too small to create a full power banish enchantment with a low enchanting skill. Hope this helps. Oddness[edit]

I was at the college of winterhold, I summoned 2 dremora lords and decided to spam the two of them just for fun. The first one died after three, the second one withstood a lot more and eventually, to my great surprise; exploded much like a magical anomaly, leaving behind ghostly remains that I could not search. I tried to replicate it, but I could not. Does anyone have an explanation? 99.246.149.82 20:33, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

This is not a joke I am legitimately confused 99.246.149.82 20:36, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Expelling Seekers in Apocrypha[edit]

So, I noticed on the talk page it mentions that only the summoned elemental daedra are affected by the Banish effect. I use Xbox, and I have tested Banishing (spell) Seekers with success. This may just be me, however. Confirmation would be appreciated. Although, while in Apocrypha, I attempted to Dual-Cast Expel Daedra on a Seeker, it did not send the Seeker back to the realm of Oblivion (obviously because it was in the realm of Oblivion anyway) but it did stun and damage it. I did this multiple times to multiple Seekers (not High Seekers). I thought it might be worth a mention on this page, given that the Enchantment may have some form of 'extra damage' associated with it when used in the said situation. Confirmation of all aspects of this would be much appreciated. — Unsigned comment by 60.226.4.119 (talk) at 11:28 on 26 August 2013

enchanted item don't use charge[edit]

I noticed if i have 100% magicka cost reduction for Conjuration and you use a weapon with the BANISH enchantment, the 2nd magic effect of this enchanted item (with the dual enchanting perk) use no charge. So you can use any other magic school effect with unlimited charges, as long you have 100% mcr in conjuration --185.104.125.92 09:07, 16 July 2016 (UTC)

Incorrect note?[edit]

The following note seems completely wrong in multiple ways:

"Dremora are not considered daedra and are thus not affected by Banish spells.
Only the three elemental atronachs are considered daedra. The three levels of Banish that are buyable as spells and appear on non-custom enchantments are suited to those three daedra; the weakest spell/enchantments can only banish flame atronachs; the middle-tier spell/enchantments can banish flame and frost atronachs, and the strongest can banish all three atronachs."

Checking in the CK, the Dremora race definitely has the ActorTypeDaedra keyword. The analysis of the tiers vs. the three types of atronachs also seems wrong (among other reasons, because the spells and enchantments don't have the same tiers).

Can someone confirm that I'm not missing something?
