Dead Thrall[edit]

I think he can't be used as dead thrall like sinding, but can anyone prove it?(Vvardfell 07:58, 29 December 2011 (UTC))

Dead Thrall only works on people. Werewolves are creatures. That's why. Dragon Guard (talk) 20:51, 10 July 2013 (GMT)

Former Compainion?[edit]

I have spoken to him quite a bit, but I never heard him say he was a former companion or even hint it. You don't have to be a companion to be a werewolf, so we can't just assume he is one. if I am incorrect, care to tell me when he says so? Emzi43 17:32, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Oh yes, I was once brother to the Companions. Let's just say they found my methods "unsettling." The Dark Brotherhood, obviously, feels differently. The Silencer has spoken 17:42, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
Ok thanks, I was just unsure , because Sinding is not or never was a companion nor are the werewolves encountered as monsters former companions. Emzi43 09:01, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
What's interesting is that Arnbjorn assumes the protagonist is a Companion, because he can't imagine where else he (or she) would have gotten the gift of lycanthropy. Lobsel Vith 16:53, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Arnbjorn's Armor[edit]

I just completed the Destroy the Dark Brotherhood quest, and found that I was unable to take Arnbjorn's armor. Is this a known bug? --Somercy 11:48, 8 July 2012 (UTC) (miss me?)

Well, I don't think it's a bug. Arnbjorn wears a special type of the Shrouded Armor which is short-sleeved. According to the Unqiue Items page, this version of the DB Armor is not meant to be equipped by the player. I guess the only way to obtain it is through console commands on PC, but I think thats unnecessary since you can't wear it. Unless you wanna put it on a mannequin or something. --Psylocke 12:20, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Aha, that makes sense. I only wondered because I noticed his body was "empty", but he was still fully clothed. --Somercy 12:42, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Khajiit monk[edit]

When Arnbjorn says he "... He was a Khajiit monk, a master of the Whispering Fang style. But now he's dead...", is that a slight reference to J'Ghasta in Oblivion? — Unsigned comment by ‎Kharwog (talkcontribs) at 18:34 on 10 July 2013

It's unlikely since that's the only real connection (both being monks) as nothing in J'Ghasta's dialogue or the dead drop orders about him mentions anything about the Whispering Fang style. Forfeit (talk) 18:49, 10 July 2013 (GMT)
Yeah, I know J'Ghasta has the ancestor moth monk class (may be a coincidence), but what Arnbjorn said reminded me of him. Thx -- Kharwog 19:01, 10 July 2013

Saving him?[edit]

Can you save him from the peintus oculatus by using a slow time shout or something — Unsigned comment by ‎70.113.62.94 (talk) on 04:29 UTC 16 Feb 2017

Arnbjorn's death is a scripted event, and therefore unavoidable. Echo (talk) 04:42, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
See this section of the quest page for information regarding this issue. As noted, he will die regardless of the status of the agents -- that is, even if you can manage to kill the agents, he still dies. —likelolwhat talk lulzy to me 04:49, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

Specific Werewolf dialogue[edit]

I feel like the note section, at least, should mention that he reacts (quite a bit) differently if the player is also a werewolf. Upon first asking him "What can you tell me about yourself" he'll instead reply:

"I might ask the same of you, for you are also more than mortal. You are moon-born. You are wolf."

And then assumes you were/are a Companion - as he can't imagine where else you'd get the gift (see above). — Unsigned comment by 83.92.74.232 (talk) at 23:48 on 19 June 2018

The page is nowhere near complete, so once someone gets near it all his dialogue should be included under the relevant quest section. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 23:04, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
