USKP Mod Talk[edit]

In my opinion, the "Unofficial Skyrim Patch" should have a spot here. It fixes almost too many bugs to name. You can read about it and the changelog here. If it's considered, I'll go through the hassle to write up a page about it, with the permission of Kivan of course. 98.198.118.224 20:30, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Kivan's unofficial patches have always been included on-site. Just give it some time, and someone will get to it. :) ESQuestion?EmailContribs 21:15, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
In that case, I'll get writing. 98.198.118.224 07:11, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

() So, I'm writing up the page for the USKP, but I haven't got a clue what information is wanted. Oblivion's mod page just has links, and I have a feeling that you guys want a little more. Any ideas? 98.198.118.224 22:40, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

I don't know what pages you've checked, but you can check out the page here if you haven't looked at it yet. At the bottom of the page, it has a list of types of things that the UOP fixes, and each of those links takes you to a new page on the wiki listing all the fixes. The current Unofficial Skyrim Patch page has an external link to fixes, but feel free to create subpages just like in the UOP. Vely►Talk►Email 02:12, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Any recommended mods for a new Skyrim player?[edit]

Before I start Skyrim, I wanted to ask, is there any "recommended" mod that I should use?

By "recommended" I mean those mods that more or less objectively improve the game in some ways (visuals or game mechanics).

For example, when I was playing Oblivion the only two mods I had were a "Quest Award Leveller" and a smilar mod called "Forged Stuff Leveller". The point of these two mods was to make sure you weren't missing out on the true power of certain items only because you obtained a lower level of them earlier in the game, proportionate to your character level. So with these mods, these items would level up with your character after being obtained.

These are the kind of mods I'd like to be aware of. Mods that enhance the gaming experience or that prevent the player from missing out on certain game features. Any recommendations? — Unsigned comment by Rope Dog (talkcontribs) at 14:01 on 9 June 2013

There are many such mods. However, this is not the place to discuss them as it isn't relevant to the article; check out the forums or ask on a mod site (like Nexus). Vely►t►e 17:58, 9 June 2013 (GMT)

Lost mod item[edit]

Hi, so I accidentally attacked a guard (it was during a dragon assault, I go berserk every time that happens lol) and scored a bounty. Later on, another guard walked up to me and said "You've committed crimes against Skyrim, etc..". As the bounty was low I decided to pay for it, but didn't realize I had some mod items marked as stolen and they removed them from my inventory. Is there a way to get them back via console? I think I saw a mod that does that, but it required like a ton of other mods to work, including one that completely changes te UI, so not an option.

Also, I'm not sure this post goes here. If it doesn't let me know where should I move it to. --Manu (talk) 14:38, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

Adding Mod Pages[edit]

Is it an alright idea to begin a page for a New Lands mod? (i.e. Wyrmstooth, Midwood Isle, etc.) I don't think there's any policies I'm missing that may disallow or disapprove of making a page for one, but given the magnitude of a page like that, I would just like to make sure. Thanks. Kazmakazii (talk) 14:33, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
On that note, it would go in "Other Mods" and not "Specific Mods," correct? "Specific Mods" has massive, province-recreation/creation mods with massive teams and shared assets. I would assume that a mod like Wyrmstooth would be around the same caliber of the Wheels of Lull. Kazmakazii (talk) 14:37, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
