Ghost Knight

Simon Rodayne is a ghost Breton spellsword, who in life was a member of the Order of the Crypt, before he fell in love with (or was tricked by) a witch of the Beldama Wyrd named Daenella and consequently killed. He is said to haunt the banks of the Karth River at night, below his hilltop grave. You will find out during the quest Crypt of the Heart that his heart has been taken by the Beldama coven to be corrupted, thereby damning his soul.

He first appears as the Ghost Knight during Crypt of the Heart when you approach the red mountain flower on the bridge near the Reachcliff Secret Entrance. He will lead you to his grave if you follow him, fading in and out of sight.

He is clad in a full set of ebony Spell Knight armor and carries a steel sword. In addition, he knows the spells Bound Sword, Chain Lightning, Firebolt, Healing, and Ironflesh.

This version of Simon Rodayne appears when you return his heart to his grave after having cleansed it through the Shrine of Mara above his grave. The ghost of Daenella appears as well, and he gives her a hug knowing that he is reunited with his love in the afterlife. Both disappear soon afterward.

He is clad in a full set of ebony Spell Knight armor without the helmet. He also carries a steel sword. In addition, he knows the spells Bound Sword, Chain Lightning, Firebolt, Healing, and Ironflesh.
