Elite Crossbows

Elite Crossbows is a Creation that adds ebony and elven crossbows. It was released on December 6, 2018 for 400 CC Credits.

Official Summary[edit]

The crossbow has long been the weapon of choice for skilled hunters, whether the prey be animals of the forest or creatures of the night. Forged from the rarest of metals, the Ebony and Elven crossbows represent two of the most deadly ranged weapons in all of Tamriel. (Quest "Night Hunter" starts by reading Kragrash's Letter at Ironback Hideout northwest of Solitude.)

Overview[edit]

The quest Night Hunter will start when you read Kragrash's letter at Ironback Hideout, a remote bandit camp high in the mountains of Haafingar. Completing this quest will grant you access to a hidden cellar once used by an Orcish vampire hunter named Kragrash. Inside, you will find unenchanted ebony and Elven crossbows. After completing the quest, these powerful crossbows can also be crafted and can be further improved at a forge to create enhanced versions.

Notes[edit]

  • The Ironback Hideout Cellar doesn't respawn making it a nice little base of operations. The three bandits outside however do respawn upon fast traveling back to the location.
  • The cellar key also opens the cage door within the cellar.
  • Unlike the Crossbows added by Dawnguard, these Crossbows can be crafted at any regular Forge.
  • The Enhanced versions have an additional property: Attacks with this crossbow ignore 50% of armor. This effect is not considered an enchantment, so enhanced crossbows can be enchanted like any normal unenchanted weapon, though they will only display the text for this effect and not for any enchantment that you may place on it.
