Detailed Walkthrough

The Felsaad Tern

After reading Masks of the Tribunal, you will need to travel to Raven Rock, and head up the stairs near the front of the Temple to the top of the Bulwark. Face south towards Old Attius Farm to see a lone Felsaad Tern circling close by. As long as it's not too close to midnight (any time up to 11) this bird will appear and continuously circle around. If it's knocked out of the sky an objective prompt to "retrieve the note" will appear. Find the bird's body and loot it to find a note.

Locate the Redoran Guard marked with a quest objective. Follow him south to the Old Attius Farm site, and from there down through the trapdoor into the Old Attius Farm Cellar. Kill the guard and the Buyer, and retrieve the Mask of Vivec and a Fahlbtharz Forge Gem. Optionally loot the Redoran Guard for a note describing his motivations.

Finishing this quest completes one of the three tasks of the goddess in the Ghosts of the Tribunal quest. It also provides one of the four forge gems required to complete the Trueflame quest.

Notes

• The Redoran Guard doesn't need to be followed or watched. Just head over near the Old Attius Farm Cellar trap door and wait past midnight. It should be unlocked and the Buyer will be down there by himself at first. He'll attack on sight so kill him. The guard will appear soon after so be ready to kill him too.

Notes

• Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
• Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
• Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
• If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
