Style Materials are secondary materials required when crafting armor and weapons. The type of material used will determine the style of the equipment you create, although your character must first know how to craft in that style. All style materials have a chance of dropping when you deconstruct an item with that style.

Adamantite[edit]

Adamantite is used for crafting in the Altmer style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Amber Marble[edit]

Amber Marble is used for crafting in the Hollowjack Style. It can be found in Plunder Skulls, only available during the Witches Festival event.

Argentum[edit]

Argentum is used for crafting in the Primal style. It can be found in containers and chests throughout the world. Before Update 12, it could only be found in Cadwell's Silver zones.

Auric Tusk[edit]

Auric Tusks are used for crafting in the Trinimac style. It can drop from delve bosses in Wrothgar, and can also be obtained by completing random Normal or Veteran dungeons using the group finder.

Azure Plasm[edit]

Azure Plasm is used for crafting in the Soul-Shriven style. It can be obtained by defeating enemies found at Dark Anchors and Dark Fissures. You will also receive some in the mail once you complete Cadwell's Silver, the amount of which is based on the number of Anchors you've closed by that point.

Black Beeswax[edit]

Black Beeswax is used for crafting in the Dark Brotherhood style. It can drop from the Dark Brotherhood Reward Pouch obtained by completing contracts for the Dark Brotherhood.

Bone[edit]

Bone is used for crafting in the Bosmer style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Cassiterite[edit]

Cassiterite is used for crafting in the Ancient Orc style. It must first be refined from ten pieces of Cassiterite Sand, which can be found when harvesting nodes in Wrothgar. Your chance of finding sand increases depending on the number of chapters you have read. Cassiterite can also be obtained by completing random Normal or Veteran dungeons using the group finder.

Charcoal of Remorse[edit]

Charcoal of Remorse is used for crafting in the Xivkyn style. It can be purchased from Tel Var General Merchants in the Imperial City. Charcoal of Remorse can also be found by completing random daily Normal or Veteran dungeons using the group finder. It can also be refined from ten Ashes of Remorse, which can similarly be obtained by completing random dungeons using the group finder after already completing the daily.

Copper[edit]

Copper is used for crafting in the Barbaric style. It can be found in containers and chests throughout the world. Before Update 12, it could only be found in Cadwell's Silver zones.

Corundum[edit]

Corundum is used for crafting in the Nord style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Crown Mimic StoneCrown Store[edit]

Crown Mimic Stones are Crown Store items which can be used to craft items in any known style. They can be bought individually or bundled with certain motifs. Deconstructing an item made with a Mimic Stone will not return the stone, but may provide the associated style material.

Daedra Heart[edit]

Daedra Hearts are used for crafting in the Daedric style. They can be found in containers and chests throughout the world, and are an uncommon drop from humanoid Daedra. Before Update 12, it could only be found in Cadwell's Gold zones.

Defiled Whiskers[edit]

Defiled Whiskers is used for crafting in the Dro-m'Athra style. It drops from bosses within the Maw of Lorkhaj or from the weekly quest reward container obtained from the quest Into the Maw.

Dragon Scute[edit]

Dragon Scutes are used for crafting in the Ebonheart Pact style. They can be purchased from siege merchants in Cyrodiil for 10,000 Alliance Points each, but only by Pact characters. Characters in other alliances must obtain them via trading or by using an alt.

Dwemer Frame[edit]

Dwemer Frames are used for crafting in the Dwemer style. A frame must first be refined from ten pieces of Dwemer Scrap, which can be found in containers in Dwemer Ruins and have a chance to drop off Dwemer Animunculi enemies. Scrap can also be received by completing random Normal or Veteran dungeons using the group finder.

Eagle Feather[edit]

Eagle Feathers are used for crafting in the Aldmeri Dominion style. They can be purchased from siege merchants in Cyrodiil for 10,000 Alliance Points each, but only by Dominion characters. Characters in other alliances must obtain them via trading or by using an alt.

Ferrous Salts[edit]

Ferrous Salts are used for crafting in the Yokudan style. It can be found in the reward containers earned from completing daily Craglorn quests.

Fine Chalk[edit]

Fine Chalk is used for crafting in the Thieves Guild style. It can be found rarely in Thieves Troves, or it can be refined from ten pieces of Coarse Chalk, also found in Thieves Troves.

Flint[edit]

Flint is used for crafting in the Argonian style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Goldscale[edit]

Goldscale is used for crafting in the Akaviri style. It must first be refined from ten Ancient Scales, which can be purchased from Siege Merchants in Cyrodiil. A complete piece can also be found by completing random Normal or Veteran dungeons using the group finder. Once refined, the Goldscale would originally become bound and could no longer be traded, although this has been changed.

Grinstones[edit]

Grinstones are used for crafting in the Grim Harlequin styleCrown Store. They can only be found by deconstructing Grim Harlequin style equipment. Since it's a Crown Store-exclusive style, the only way to create a Grim Harlequin item in the first place is to use a Crown Mimic Stone. However, any resulting Grinstones can then be traded with other players.

Laurel[edit]

Laurels are used for crafting in the Mercenary style. Once your character learns at least one chapter of the Mercenary motif, Laurels will begin dropping from the final bosses of Group Dungeons. For Veteran dungeons, this chance starts at 50% and increases to a guaranteed 100% once all chapters have been learned. The chance for Normal mode bosses is one quarter of that. Laurels can also be found by completing random Normal or Veteran dungeons using the group finder. It was originally impossible to trade Laurels, as they would bind to your account upon pickup.

Lion Fang[edit]

Lion Fangs are used for crafting in the Daggerfall Covenant style. They can be purchased from siege merchants in Cyrodiil for 10,000 Alliance Points each, but only by Covenant characters. Characters in other alliances must obtain them via trading or by using an alt.

Malachite[edit]

This article is about the crafting material. For the cat, see Malachite (creature).

Malachite is used for crafting in the Glass style. A piece of Malachite must first be refined from ten Malachite Shards, which can be found in locked treasure chests or by completing random Normal or Veteran dungeons using the group finder. Chests found by using treasure maps have a higher chance to contain a shard. Once refined, the Malachite would originally become bound and could no longer be traded, although this has been changed. It could previously be bought from the Crown Store.

Manganese[edit]

Manganese is used for crafting in the Orc style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Molybdenum[edit]

Molybdenum is used for crafting in the Breton style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Moonstone[edit]

Moonstone is used for crafting in the Khajiit style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Nickel[edit]

Nickel is used for crafting in the Imperial style. It can be found in containers throughout the world. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Obsidian[edit]

Obsidian is used for crafting in the Dunmer style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Oxblood Fungus[edit]

Oxblood Fungus is used for crafting in the Minotaur style. It can be refined from ten Oxblood Fungus Spores which drops from Minotaurs in the Gold Coast. The complete style item can be obtained by completing the quest Looming Shadows or by killing Limenauruus.

Palladium[edit]

Palladium is used for crafting in the Ancient Elf style. It can be found in containers and chests throughout the world. Before Update 12, it could only be found in Cadwell's Gold zones.

Pearl Sand[edit]

Pearl Sand is used for crafting in the Order of the Hour style. It can be refined from ten Grains of Pearl Sand which drops from nodes in the Gold Coast. The complete style item can be obtained by completing the quest The Roar of the Crowds or by killing Knight Commander Panthius.

Polished Shilling[edit]

Polished Shillings are used for crafting in the Abah's Watch style. They can be found when pickpocketing guards.

Potash[edit]

Potash is used for crafting in the Malacath style. It can drop from group bosses in Wrothgar, and can also be obtained by completing random Normal or Veteran dungeons using the group finder.

Pristine Shroud[edit]

A Pristine Shroud is used for crafting in the Draugr style. It can be found in the reward containers earned from completing daily guild quests.

Rogue's Soot[edit]

Rogue's Soot is used for crafting in the Outlaw style. It can be found when harvesting nodes in Hew's Bane.

Stalhrim Shard[edit]

Stalhrim Shards are used for crafting in the Stalhrim Frostcaster styleCrown Store. They can only be found by deconstructing Stalhrim Frostcaster style equipment. Since it's a Crown Store-exclusive style, the only way to create a Frostcaster item in the first place is to use a Crown Mimic Stone. However, any resulting Stalhrim Shards can then be traded with other players.

Starmetal[edit]

Starmetal is used for crafting in the Redguard style. It can be found in containers throughout the world, or purchased from crafting merchants for 15 ON-icon-Gold.png each. Before Update 12, it could only be found in the level Normal1 to Normal50 zones (those that comprise your starter Alliance, including Coldharbour).

Star Sapphire[edit]

A Star Sapphire is used for crafting in the Celestial style. It can be found in the weekly reward containers earned for clearing trials in Craglorn.

Tainted Blood[edit]

Tainted Blood is used for crafting in the Assassins League style. It can be refined from ten samples of Dried Blood. Dried and Tainted Blood have a chance of dropping from any NPCs killed using the Blade of Woe, with Tainted Blood having a much smaller rate of dropping.

Wolfsbane Incense[edit]

Wolfsbane Incense is used for crafting in the Skinchanger Style. Every New Life Gift Box, available only during the New Life Festival, contains one sample.
