Vrayden

Vrayden was a Dark Elf member of the Dark Brotherhood who operated out of the Xith-Izkul Sanctuary. The Brotherhood's ruling body, the Black Hand, ordered that the Sanctuary be "purified" in an attempt to address corruption within its ranks. Vrayden's fellow Brotherhood operative, Lyra Viria, carried out the purification, killing every other person present at the Sanctuary.

His projection is briefly seen while investigating the sanctuary with Green-Venom-Tongue.

Vrayden's final moments are witnessed in this quest. Lyra approached Vrayden armed with two swords. Their final conversation proceeded as follows:

Lyra: "Traitor? I'm not the one who betrayed my Brothers and Sisters!"

Vrayden: "The Black Hand would never sanction this! I don't believe it!"

Lyra: "You don't need to believe it. You simply need to die."

Lyra struck once with her left-hand blade, slashing Vrayden and spinning him around; with her right-hand blade, she impaled him upward through the back and throat.
