Veek-Gai Gold-Tail

Veek-Gai Gold-Tail is an Argonian who can be found in Cropsford. If she is asked, she will tell you about the current goings on in the village.

Dialogue[edit]

If you are a member of the Ebonheart Pact while Cropsford is controlled by an enemy alliance, she will warn,

"The waters of Cropsford run swift and deadly for Pact soldiers. Tred [sic] carefully here."

If the Ebonheart Pact controls the village of Cropsford and one of the alliance speaks with her, she will say:

"It is good to see more faces from the Pact in Cropsford. Perhaps we will be safer now."

For other alliances, she will instead say:

"At times it is a hard decision: grow crops or wallow in the waters."
Tell me about Cropsford.
"For a small place, there are many stories. Prefect Antias rules here, though not all are happy with that. Goblins scurry about the outskirts like the vermin they are. And several here are from surprisingly far away."
Tell me about Antias.
"She has been prefect here for many years, leading the village. She is also a devotee of Zenithar. The god one follows is no one else's business, except with Antias. She insists on seasonal offerings to Zenithar from all villagers."
Why do they put up with it?
"Most figure it is the cost of having Antias run the village, a job no one else wants. Some, like Shagol, run and hide when the offering is due. A few protest but eventually give in with mutterings. Ufgra gra-Gum does not give."
Why not?
"It is Ufgra who does the daily work of managing the village, seeing to the sowing and the harvest, keeping the Goblins at bay, and so on. Without Ufgra, the village would be lost.
Also, who argues with a sullen Orc?"
What about the Goblins?
"The Bloody Hand tribe has always been nearby; they are a known danger. Recent rumors tell of scouts from another Goblin tribe seen about the village. Their strength is unknown."
What can be done about them?
"What can the tree do about the wind? You survive that which you cannot change. We are a village of farmers, we cannot wipe out a Goblin tribe. Even if we hire heroes for this task, the Goblins would just come back. It is their nature."
Who are the strangers here?
"Being from far away does not make them strangers. They have all lived here for years and are part of Cropsford now. Their stories are their own and not mine to tell. Lulius, Hisham, Octavimus, and Amadour may tell, if you ask."
