Destroy the Thornroot Clan's infernal tools
A Reach clan called the Thornroot kidnapped members of a nearby clan, the Wildblood. Now the Thornroot intend to engage in a ritual that will turn their unwilling captives into briarhearts. I need to stop them from performing the ritual.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Destroy three sets of Briarheart Ritual Tools in Briar Rock Ruins.
  2. Talk to Bralthahawn.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

The Thornroot Clan has captured members of the Wildblood clan, and is turning their captives into briarheart warriors against their will. Bralthahawn has tasked you with destroying their tools the Thornroots are using to perform the briarheart ritual.

Enter Briar Rock Ruins, which lie south of Markarth. The Thornroot Clan has settled here. You need to destroy three sets of tools. The set closest to the entrance is located on the second level of the tower located west of the entrance. Another is located in the northern section of Briar Rock Crypts. The last set of tools is located on the ground floor of Dead Crone Tower. Once you've destroyed three sets of tools, return to Bralthahawn in Markarth to be rewarded.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
